LV Strip Numbers See 14% Increase

Nevada’s gaming revenues for the fiscal year (July 1, 2025, through March 31, 2026) have increased by 1.98% – totaling over $12 billion.

Drilling down into the individual figures, the Las Vegas Strip generated just under $780 million in gaming win in March 2026, a 14.43% increase from March 2025, a 0.69% increase for the fiscal year.

Downtown Las Vegas saw $103.1 million in gaming win for the month, a 20.78% increase compared to March 2025 ($85.4 million), a 4% overall increase for the fiscal year.

In April the state collected just over $93 million in taxes based on revenues generated in March, a 17.24% (or $13.67 million) increase compared to the prior year. Collections were through April 22. That increase in state fees collected was the first after four months of YoY declines.

Reversing a Decline

Bottom line for Las Vegas: The numbers are a positive sign in what had been a steady drumbeat of decline for the entertainment, gaming and tourism icon.

March revenue was largely driven by a strong events calendar, including the NASCAR Pennzoil 400 at Las Vegas Motor Speedway, college basketball conference tournaments, March Madness watch parties, and the massive CONEXPO-CON/AGG construction show.

Aggressive Promotions

Las Vegas casinos have been rolling out aggressive discounts and bundled deals, like waiving report fees, offering free parking or valet, slashing room rates, offering all-inclusive style packages.

For example, in January there was a newsworthy promotion announced by downtown Las Vegas hotels Circa Resort & Casino, the D Las Vegas, and Golden Gate Hotel & Casino – tackling the exchange rate challenges for Canadian travelers to the U.S. (US$100 as of Friday morning costs Canadians CA$135).

Those properties launched an “At Par” commitment across select gaming, hotel and beverage offerings through August 31. Eligible Canadian guests receive US$1 in value for every CA$1 spent, regardless of daily exchange rates. Canadians can redeem up to CA$500 in slot promotional play, treated at full US dollar value, for example.
