In my opinion, this is one of the coolest features of the BetMGM Rewards program. BetMGM sends me a $1,200 air travel credit for flights to Las Vegas annually. Yes, you read that right. This is an exclusive perk for Premium and Noir members, one of the biggest reasons to progress up the tiers. With compensated hotel stays, cheaper meals, and complimentary airport taxi services, my BetMGM Rewards membership considerably reduces the cost of trips to Sin City.
Through its relationship with Royal Caribbean International and Celebrity Cruises, you can also access a range of cruise offers you won’t find anywhere else. Members at all tiers can access exclusive offers four times a year, while Platinum and Noir members get an annual complimentary cruise courtesy of MGM Rewards. Tier credits
You automatically earn tier credits as you earn points, allowing you to progress through the MGM Rewards program membership levels. Each tier, from Sapphire to Noir, offers exclusive benefits from the operator’s extensive list of properties and partners. These include discounted car rental, exclusive concerts in Vegas, and even the ability to cut the line at the incredible MGM Grand buffet.
How many tiers do BetMGM Rewards and MGM Rewards have?
Whether you join online or through any of its in-person casinos, BetMGM Rewards and MGM Rewards members are grouped into five tiers. You get increasing benefits as you progress through the tiers. You can earn tier credits for every wager you place online or at land-based casinos. Below, I’ll explore the different tiers and the benefits you can access for progressing through them.
Sapphire: 0 tier credits
Initially, all MGM Rewards members join the Sapphire tier when they enroll in the program. This tier entitles you to exclusive member-only offers at MGM Rewards destinations and from MGM Resorts partners. You also get the aforementioned quarterly cruise offers and some benefits at its owned-and-operated properties, like 15% flexible rates when you book direct. You also get a 5% discount at participating retail shops.
Pearl: 20,000+ tier credits
Once you earn 20,000 tier credits, you progress to the Pearl tier. This level gives you all of the benefits of the Sapphire tier, plus a few great additions that make the tier really worthwhile. For instance, your MGM Rewards Points don’t expire at this level. You also get complimentary self-parking at MGM locations, complimentary tickets at select MGM Rewards concerts in Las Vegas, and my favorite perk, a dedicated line at the buffet at the MGM Grand. You’re automatically bumped up to the Pearl tier if you have an MGM Mastercard.
Gold: 75,000+ tier credits
The perks really start pouring in when you reach 75,000 tier credits and access the Gold level. This level gives you benefits like waived resort fees on hotel stays on the Vegas strip, priority check-in, and even room upgrades subject to availability. One of the best benefits unlocked at the Gold level is a $100 tier achievement dinner at participating restaurants and complimentary valet parking at participating MGM destinations.
Platinum: 200,000+ tier credits
When you reach 200,000 tier credits, you join the Platinum tier of MGM Rewards. Among other benefits, this level allows you to gain preferred access to premium seating at select entertainment and sporting events, expedited valet and taxi service, and priority access to spas, salons, and pools at resorts owned by MGM. Also, when you reach the Platinum level, you can get an annual complimentary cruise for up to 5 nights. One of my favorite perks is that Platinum members get a $600 Air Travel Credit.
Noir: invitation only
The most exclusive tier is Noir, which is only available to invitees. When you’re inducted in the Noir tier, you get some pretty expansive benefits, like a dedicated host, complimentary transportation around Vegas and other MGM locations, and a $1,200 Air Travel Credit. A Noir level membership at MGM Rewards is truly the VIP experience.
