An in depth look at our top 3 online roulette casinos
Every month, we rigorously test out all of the top casinos to see how they stack up. We take several hours to get hands-on with a casino's selection of roulette games including playing several rounds on multiple titles, test out the quality of their bonuses including the wagering requirements, and diving into any existing player promotions that reward the existing players.
Check out some of the top highlighted casino including our pros & cons as well as what real money players have to say below:
1. Magic Red Casino - best for roulette promotions 💰
Pros & cons
✅ 81 dedicated roulette games including 16 RNG and 65 live casino (higher than Pub Casino at 21 games & 20 games at All British Casino).
✅ Dedicated 10% live casino cashback promotions on Saturdays & Sundays including all live roulette games.
✅ Fast payouts with withdrawals completed in 0-2 days (fastest in our toplist with most casinos taking 1-3 days like Betway and Mr Mega).
❌ Missing top roulette titles from Games Global like 9 Pots of Gold Roulette and Immortal Romance Roulette
Magic Red casino offers an extensive range of over 81 dedicated RNG & live roulette games and boasts a generous 10% cashback on all live casino wagering during the weekend; making it the best roulette promotion on the market.
User review:"No issues at all. Only signed up yesterday won a nice sum of money. Straight in my bank today." 5/5 ⭐
Charmaine Hall- Trustpilot review, 16th April 2024
My opinion: Magic Red Casino offers one of the most impressive collection of roulette games on the market and the 10% cashback on all live casino winnings certainly sweetens the deal.
✅ Highest available average RTP in the UK with 98.49% (96%-97% standard across our toplist)
✅ Offers top variations for roulette including European, American and a selection of live titles from Evolution (not offered by the likes of All British Casino or Magic Red Casino)
✅ Monthly slots tournaments with up to £2,500 in real cash prizes
❌ RNG roulette offering lacking with only 4 games total and missing key titles like 20p Roulette
Pub Casino might not offer the most extensive selection of roulette titles but the high payout percentage makes it a top choice for players looking to make the most from their bank roll.
User review:"I have checked my bank this morning 12 hrs after withdrawing and the cash is in my bank already so thumbs up from me. Very efficient and fun site for me so far." 5/5 ⭐
Scott - Trustpilot review, 7th June 2024
My opinion: Pub Casino has caught some criticism for game fairness and long withdrawal times. In my experience, games offered are the highest RTP available and withdrawals were processed within the 1-3 day window advertised. Confusion could be around the effect of RTP as results are random on any given spin.
3. Grand Ivy Casino - best for roulette game library 🎰
✅ The highest number of RNG roulette titles with 20 (4 more than Magic Red as the second highest)
✅ Match bonus of up 150% up to £300 (significantly higher than average 100% for up to £100 offered by the likes of Pub Casino & All British Casino)
✅ Free spins also included on welcome bonus with 75 free spins on Big Bass Bonanza (valued at £7.50)
❌ No dedicated casino app for mobile play (offered by LeoVegas & All British Casino)
Grand Ivy Casino are a great choice for those looking for variety. Featuring the highest number of RNG roulette titles, and a respectable 50+ live casino roulette titles, there's plenty on offer.
My opinion: Grand Ivy Casino has received some negative reviews around wagering requirements and withdrawal times. In my experience, withdrawals have fallen within the standard 1-3 day period and the wagering requirements on offer are standard in the UK market at 35x.
Expert Advice: Read the terms carefully before dedicating to a casino offer. Grand Ivy Casino offers a higher match bonus than others that can result in higher overall wagering needed to fulfil the requirements (up to £10,500 if depositing max value).
Having worked extensively in a top UK operator for over 2 years, I know a thing or two about what makes a good roulette casino. When selecting a casino for recommendation, don't settle for less than a consistent 97.30% RTP range on most/all of their available roulette titles. This is the norm for roulette RNG titles in the UK with anything below that being sub-optimal for your potential bankroll.
What makes a good roulette casino
We don't just recommend any casino on the market as we have an extensive 25-step process to select only the finest sites for you. Our process is based on the key criteria a player would be looking for in a casino; from a good selection of games to the fastest withdrawals based on industry standards.
Check out what makes a top roulette site including:
Great Welcome Promotions for Roulette Players
Competition is fierce amongst online casinos, and the onus is on them to provide generous welcome bonuses to stand out. Our top-rated sites all offer dedicated promos and bonuses for their roulette games, including specific live roulette bonuses.
Magic Red casino stands as top in this category with a dedicated live casino cashback bonus of 10% including all Evolution live roulette titles.
💡 Experts insight: Industry standard in the UK is a 100% match bonus up to £100. Prioritise casinos that go beyond this like Dream Vegas and All British Casino that offer higher match bonuses or extra incentives like cashback.
Secure and Safe Gaming
When you play online roulette for real money at one of our recommended sites, you can expect a fair game, with regularly audited RNGs ensuring each spin of the wheel is truly random.
All of our toplisted casinos are fully-regulated with the likes of Pub Casino and All British offering bank levels of encryption that ensures your personal information is kept safe at all times.
💡 Experts insight: Only play on regulated casinos as they offer the fairest and most legitimate experiences. Industry standard is that a casino holds a full UKGC license with high levels of data-encryption being widespread to keep your info safe.
Play for Free or Real Money
Any site we rank has to offer players a good range of roulette games where they can play free roulette for fun with no sign-up needed. This allows you to explore the games at your own pace before playing the full range of real money titles available.
💡 Experts insight:Playing for free is a great way to try out roulette variations and get the basics. I recommend this before playing with real money so you can minimise your learning period losses.
Mobile Roulette Gaming
With mobile gaming, you can play for free and also play real money games to land cash jackpots on your phone. Our recommended online casinos for roulette all offer mobile roulette users an incredible experience with all roulette variants, whether you prefer to play on iPhone, Android or tablet.
PlayOJO and Leovegas stand at the top in this category as they offer native app support; meaning you can take your slots and casino action on the go at any time.
💡 Experts insight: Industry standards are that a casino's library should be fully compatible on modern iOS and Android devices. Anything above this is a huge plus with dedicated apps putting a casino top of the rankings.
High Payout Percentage
We rate the casinos that offer roulette players the best value. Any top-rated roulette casino online will offer competitive payout percentages with the best return to player available, so you can enjoy great odds when you play.
Check out our top payout casino in our toplist with Pub Casino standing as our highest payout casino around.
💡 Experts insight:While a casino's payout percentage is important, the RTP of the games you play is even more so. Prioritise games with high RTP (96%+) for the best chance to win.
Roulette Game Variety
Variety is key to a good roulette site as the top casinos should offer a number of different roulette variations including European, American and a strong mixture of RNG and live casino roulette games.
Betway and Dream Vegas stick out in this category with 40+ and 25+ dedicated roulette games respectively; making them higher than other top casinos with only 10+ games like Pub Casino or Mr Mega.
💡 Experts insight: The average number of RNG roulette titles offered by a casino is 10-15 covering variations like European and American. Prioritise casinos that go beyond this standard like the two listed above as they will offer the highest variety of roulette games with each bringing an exciting new way to play.
While we always want to shout about the casinos we do recommend, it's also important to highlight the ones we'd prefer you avoid.
We have a strict 25-step review process, looking at things like a site’s software, promotions, how easy the banking process is, security and more. When any of these steps fall below our standards, the casino is added to our list of sites to avoid.

How to play - master roulette in 5 easy steps
Roulette is one of the simplest table casino games around; meaning you can get to grips with almost all of the rules in a matter of minutes. Check out our step-by-step guide on how to play your favourite RNG roulette games today.
1. Choose a game
Browse our selection of free roulette games or sign up to one of our toplisted casinos to play for real money.
✅ My top tip:There are a lot of roulette games out there that remix the classic rules. I would recommend you start with a title that is purely classic roulette while you learn the ropes like European Roulette or 20p Roulette before jumping into the spicier games.
2. Select your chip size
Once you've loaded a game, set your chip size using the options displayed
✅ My top tip:Start small while you're getting to grips with the game. I recommend £1 bets and focusing primarily on simple bets like Red/Black while you get to grips with the rules.
3. Place your bets
Place your bets on individual spaces to make your Inside or Outside bets.
✅ My top tip:Remember that you don't need to put the same value on each space when betting. Play around with bet values on both Inside and Outside spaces to increase your potential return.
4. Press spin to play
Once completed, press spin to release the ball and spin the wheel.
✅ My top tip: Double check your bets before spinning to ensure you're happy with the placements and values. You can always click undo at any time before spinning to reset your chip placements.
5. Results and winnings
Once the wheel stops on a numbered space, the results are calculated and any winnings are awarded.
✅ My top tip:Outside bets have a much higher chance of winning than Inside bets. Focus on bets like Red/Black, High/Low or Odds/Evens to maximise your chances of winning.

When it comes to roulette betting, these are split into Outside and Inside bets.
- Outside bets- These cover a wider variety of numbers or types and generally give you a 50% chance of winning on any round. Outside bets have a max base payout of 2:1 as they are low risk and have the highest chance of winning.
- Inside bets- These bets are made of a smaller selection of numbers in the roulette board and have a much lower chance of winning on any round. The tradeoff is, when they do win, the payouts are higher with up to 35:1 for a successful single number bet.
💡 Experts insight: Outside bets are a much safer bet for new players as most have a 50/50 chance of winning. Start simple and split your bets when digging into riskier bets like Single Number bets.

Stephen Tabone, Gambling strategy author
"My top tip for playing online roulette is to stick to one flat betting (clever) bet selection. One that can be placed on auto repeat. Lucky players could see their win rate surge, so they can cash out a winner. Even a small win is a win."
Casino roulette variations
There are tons of different roulette variations with each hosting their own unique features and differences. Check out some of the top played roulette variants including European, American and more.
European roulette (2.70% house edge)
European Roulette is the variation which offers the best player odds at 2.70% house edge. Unlike American roulette, there’s no double “00” on the European wheel, reducing the house edge by almost half and giving you more chances to win.
American roulette (5.26% house edge)
Widely considered to be the standard variation of the game, American roulette has a wheel featuring a single “0” and double “00”, giving it an increased house edge over other versions.
French roulette (2.70% house edge)
In French roulette, there’s no double “0” on the wheel and two additional rules are in place; En Prison and La Partage. If the wheel results in a 0, 1 of these rules applies that will either spin the wheel again for double or nothing or award half of your bet value back. These rules are not active on all French roulette tables but can lower the house edge even more to as low as 1.35%.
3D roulette (2.70%-5.40% house edge)
As the name suggests, 3D roulette utilises realistic 3D graphics to mimic the feeling of the land casino roulette tables. Some RNG and live dealer roulette games allow you to switch to 3D at any time; giving you even more ways to mix up the game.
Mini roulette (3.85% house edge)
In mini roulette, the wheel is smaller and only features numbers up to 12, as well as a single '0'. There’s also an additional rule, which sees half a player’s wager returned if the ball lands on '0'.
Live dealer roulette (2.70-5.26% house edge)
Specifically for online casinos, live dealer roulette enables players to enjoy a real casino experience from home, as they play against a live dealer via a real time video link. The dealer can also be interacted with at any time using dedicated chat functions for an even more authentic experience.
Playing for Free vs Real Money
There are plenty reasons to play for free or for real money with each having their own pros & cons.
Check out what makes them different and find your perfect way to play including:
Real money
Free games
Real money allows for winnings to be withdrawn for real cash
Players can enjoy games instantly, with no setup, registration or downloads required
Enables players to unlock bonuses and other promotions
The games can be played anonymously with no need to hand over financial information
Opens up more roulette variations, notably live dealer games
Players can practice their skills and strategies, with unlimited play time
Play time is based heavily on bank roll with no guarantee of success
Check the rules and differences before putting down your cash as some variants can include different betting odds, extra bet spaces or differ from the standard 97.30% RTP found in most online games.
🔍 How to be prepared: Do your research on how variations differ. Check out a game's paytable for all of the top info or check out our roulette variations to know the difference.
✅ My top tip:European roulette is the simplest variation of roulette and is what I recommend for beginners. Once you've come to grips with the rules, feel free to branch out from there.
Understand House Edge:
Different variants will have different House Edge percentages so ensure you play the versions that give you the best chances to win.
🔍 How to be prepared: Do your homework on what is House Edge and what makes it important for your roulette play. Even knowing how each variation's House Edge differs could make a huge difference to your potential winnings.
✅ My top tip:European roulette is the best for having the lowest House Edge with 2.70% compared to the whopping 5.26% offered by American roulette. Prioritise European roulette for the highest potential return.
Manage your money:
Think about how much you can afford to bet before you start, and never go over that amount. Don’t continue betting to chase losses and never bet money you can’t afford to lose.
🔍 How to be prepared: Most online casinos offer an extensive range of Responsible Gambling tools that can help you set deposit or time limits to your play in minutes. Even the most regulated players can benefit from these features as it will take away the manual aspect of keeping tabs on your bankroll.
✅ My top tip: Focus on lower value chip sizes on Outside bets to maximise your total bank roll. Outside bets like Red/Black have the highest chance of winning and getting a fairly low chip size per bet can ensure that your play session isn't over too quickly.
Choose outside bets:
Playing outside bets gives you the best chance of getting a payout, even if that payout isn’t likely to be massive.
🔍 How to be prepared: Check a game's paytable to see what you can expect back from any winning bet. Some games will have different payouts form Inside & Outside bets so know your numbers before putting your chips down.
✅ My top tip: Vary your bets across multiple Outside bet options for the best chance of winning. Each will return at a rate of 1|1 and, unlike some Inside bets, all have a chance of winning simultaneously depending on results.
