Even though I hadn’t heard of Zula Casino before reviewing, it quickly grabbed my attention when I learned it was part of Priority Play, a group of sweepstakes casinos including brands I already love, like Sportzino and Fortune Coins. That put me at ease and let me enjoy the vast range of exclusive games the sweepstakes casino supports including titles from their original gaming studio. Thanks to the generous no-deposit bonus that beats out rewards from competitors like RealPrize and McLuck, I got a chance to test plenty of games.

Zula Casino has some issues that may be off-putting for some players. There is no mobile app, and the site has minimal customer support compared to other sweepstakes. I could only use a web form to contact staff, while sites like Hello Millions let me use 24/7 live chat and call the support team. Additionally, the desktop site looks dated with far less ways to customise or filter compared to sites like Stake.us.

Still, there is plenty for players to enjoy here. I think high-rollers will especially enjoy the VIP program, which let me progress by spending more on coin bundles, especially with a maximum-priced coin bundle of $499.99 available.

I was disappointed that Zula Casino does not offer live dealer or table games, but the site makes up for it with dozens of exclusive titles, like Long John Silver, developed by Zula Casino Homemade. More than 35 software providers at Zula Casino

Many sweepstakes casinos partner with a handful of software developers, like High 5 Casino, which works with 13 companies, and RealPrize, which works with 14. Some sites work with even fewer providers. I was blown away that Zula Casino welcomes games from over 35 developers. This includes some of the best-known software providers in the industry, like Pragmatic Play and Hacksaw Gaming.

I also spotted a few lesser-known developers, like Onlyplay and Edge Labs. Zula Casino even provides its own games under the Zula Casino Homemade name. Many sweepstakes, like RealPrize and Chanced, either don’t offer homemade games or offer far fewer than Zula Casino.

Zula Casino is hardly the first sweepstakes casino I’ve seen without live dealer or virtual table games. Fellow operators like CrownsCoins and Hello Millions also don't provide these games. However, it’s still disappointing, considering competitors like Stake.us provide dozens of these games.

Zula Casino splits its bonus into the no-deposit offer and the purchase promo. The no-deposit offer is a little misleading as Zula Casino claimed I could get 120,000 GC and 10 SC just for signing up. I had to sign up, verify my phone number, consent to email and SMS marketing, link Google and Facebook to my account, and then claim the daily login bonus to receive the bonus. While I didn’t need to make a payment to claim, having the steps be a bit more transparent would’ve been helpful to know. 

The no-deposit bonus provides good value compared to sweepstakes like McLuck, which only offers 7,500 GCs and 5 SCs, and RealPrize, which gives 100,000 and 2 GCs. While you do need to jump through quite a few more hoops than those sites, it is nice to see that you get a decent value for it all.  

The purchase promo is also great value, letting me claim 250,000 GCs and 10 SCs by spending $2.99. That compares well to similar low-budget promos, like the $2.99 purchase bonus at Sportzino, which only provides 160,000 GCs and 7 SCs. However, it’s a shame the promo doesn’t let high rollers spend more to get more benefits like I’ve seen at CrownCoins.

Outside of its daily offers and VIP program, Zula Casino mainly offers rewards through its tournaments. When I visited, several tournaments were running simultaneously, each providing different rewards for different reasons. For example, I found tournaments that rewarded the best multiplier on a single spin, the biggest win, and the most points. Some tournaments last only a week, while others span over a month.

The highest prize pool I saw was $1.8 billion GCs and 10,000 SCs, bigger than I’ve seen at CrownCoins, High 5 Casino, and WOW Vegas tournaments. I also appreciated that there were plenty of tournaments that rewarded prizes for not just spending the most as there are already plenty of promos for high rollers at Zula Casino.

The other promo I could claim at Zula Casino was the refer-a-friend bonus, offering 20,000 GCs and 2 SCs for the first ten friends who signed up using my link. That’s a maximum reward of 200,000 GCs and 20 SCs. It’s generous, but less than I could get at sites like Mega Bonanza, which offers up less GC at 130,000, but a whopping 65 SC.

VIP program

There are seven VIP tiers in the Zula Casino VIP program, each providing me with more rewards than the last. At first glance, I was disappointed to find that you can only progress based on how much spent on the site. Most sweepstakes with a VIP program, like WOW Vegas, let you progress based on play time. 

To progress from Bronze to Diamond I tier, a jump from tier 1 to tier 5, I needed to spend $5,000, which isn’t unreasonable for a VIP program. For that, I unlocked the exclusive offers, monthly bonuses, weekly offers, and weekly bonuses.

Past this, however, to get from Diamond I to Diamond II, I needed to spend $50,000. Diamond II and III players get a dedicated VIP host and custom perks, so this is targeted at high rollers. This is a rewarding VIP scheme, but budget gamblers may be disappointed by how much is needed to unlock these exclusive features.

Where Zula Casino stands out is its highest-cost coin bundle of $499.99. Sites like Mega Bonanza offers a maximum coin bundle of $99.99 but gives you quite a bit less GC & SC as part of the offer. NoLimitCoins has the highest comparable Coin Package at $199.99 for 2,000,000 GC; but even this falls well below what Zula Casino offers. The high-price coin bundle makes Zula Casino a great option for high rollers who are looking to maximise the VIP program on offer.

More on the casino’s authenticity

I felt very safe at Zula Casino, as it included all the safety measures I expected from sweepstakes casinos like SSL encryption and firewalls. The site is part of Priority Play, linking it with other respectable sweepstakes like Sportzino and Fortune Coins. I haven’t seen many sweepstakes with this kind of agreement, which gave me more assurance than rivals like McLuck and Pulsz.

Another benefit of playing with Zula Casino is that its operating company is based in the US; meaning it is more visibly compliant with the regulations of US-based organisations. 

I was disappointed that Zula Casino doesn’t make some of its safety info clearer and isn’t tested by third-parties like Stake.us is, but it ticked the right boxes for being a safe casino.

While reliable, this is a small selection of payment options, with sites like Pulsz providing eight ways to pay. The lack of payment options like Paypal or Paysafecard was disappointing as it gave me much less flexibility for how to pay. With less empty space compared to the desktop site, I think the mobile site looks better than its desktop counterpart. My customer support experience was less than impressive. I could only reach the Zula customer support team through an on-site web form. Once I submitted this, I received answers via email. However, the response times were patchy, taking more than six hours at times. Zula Casino provides no advice on its operating hours, which is disappointing considering many sweepstakes give 24/7 support, like Chanced and Mega Bonanza. These sites also provide alternative contact options like live chat, which usually responds within minutes. 

Putting customer service to the test

I tested out the customer support options at Zula Casino, and this is the average response time regardless of when I got in touch.

While I could enter my email and name before agreeing to the terms and conditions, this is a little misleading, as Zula Casino didn’t give me access to my account until I verified my phone number and email. 

I could speed up the sign-up process by using my Google or Facebook account. I recommend doing this, as I had to link these accounts to my sweepstakes account later to get the full welcome bonus.

Once I completed the sign-up process, I was greeted by the Zula Casino platform. The animated icons instantly caught my eye, drawing me into the game lobby and keeping me engaged. This is a neat feature that many sweepstakes like LuckyBird.io don’t provide and let you know the titles worthy of the star treatment.
