  • It’s the operator’s second card with Bread Financial
  • New card features accelerated earning of tier credits
  • Also features $450 in redeemable perks, including slot play

Caesars Entertainment and Bread Financial introduced the Caesars Rewards Prestige Visa Signature credit card on Wednesday — a new premium card targeting big spenders and points mavens.

The Caesars Rewards Prestige Visa Signature extends the partnership between the casino giant and Bread Financial. Three years ago, the companies introduced the Caesars Rewards Visa Card. Bread specializes in private label and co-brand credit cards, installment lending, and buy now, pay later (BNPL).

The Caesars Rewards Prestige Visa Signature credit card includes up to $450 in annual value and gives members all the benefits of high-end experiences as well as waived fees for foreign transactions,” according to a press release.

As is the case with other premium credit cards, the new Caesars cards come with an annual membership. In this case, it’s $149, but that compares favorably with some of the competing casino credit cards on the market today. For example, the MGM Rewards Iconic World Elite Mastercard, which debuted in April, has a yearly fee of $250.

Perks Galore with New Caesars Credit Card

The Caesars Rewards Prestige Visa Signature credit card could be an attractive complement in the points/tier credits-generating arsenals of Caesars Rewards members.

The card’s welcome offer includes an upgrade to platinum status, 2,500 in tier credits following the customer’s first purchase outside of a Caesars Rewards property, and 2,500 in tier credits and 20K in rewards credits after the first $1,000 purchase outside a Caesars venue.

The card also comes with $450 in redeemable perks, including a free hotel night (up to $300) at a Caesars-operated venue, $50 in free slot play, and a $100 dining credit.

Annual bonuses include 15K in tier credits upon spending $50K, “2,500 Tier Credits with $5,000 annual spend + another 2,500 Tier Credits with $10,000 annual spend,” as noted in the statement.

Card Could Help Clients Climb Caesars Rewards Ranks

Caesars Rewards has more than 65 million members, making it the gaming industry’s largest loyalty program. The operator is the biggest by number of domestic gaming venues, meaning customers have plenty of outlets at which to earn points and tier credits.

For fans of casino loyalty programs and those who have criticized those plans for making it increasingly difficult and expensive to climb to higher tiers, the Caesars Rewards Prestige Visa Signature card could be a compelling offering because it features an accelerated earning rate at Caesars Rewards destinations of seven rewards credits per $1 spent.

However, tier credits differ from rewards credits, and it’s the former that Caesars uses to determine a customer’s status in the rewards program. Should a Caesars Rewards Prestige Visa Signature cardholder spend $50K in a year, earning those accompanying 15K tier credits would usher them into Caesars Rewards’ Diamond level — the program’s third of six levels. To reach the coveted Seven Stars level, 150K tier credits are required.
