A Las Vegas jury on Friday night convicted Devyn Michaels of first-degree murder after deciding that the former porn star beat her on-and-off boyfriend/baby daddy to death and then decapitated him in August 2023.

If you don’t think that was the most insane true sentence you’ve ever read, the following will probably qualify…

Johnathan Willette was 46 when he was murdered by his on-and-off girlfriend. (Image: Facebook)

Police believe that Michaels committed this heinous crime because she was jealous that her victim won custody of their two children earlier in 2023, and also so that she could live peacefully with her husband, Deviere Willette, who is also one of her victim’s children and her own stepson.

Told you.

Michaels married her stepson in 2021, when she was 43 and he was 25.

“All I can say is, ‘Buckle up, because you’re in for a wild ride,’” prosecutor John Giordani told the jury during the first day of testimony on November 5, according to ongoing coverage by KLAS-TV/Las Vegas.

Night of the Murder

On the night of August 6, 2023, police believe, Michaels bludgeoned Johnathan with a wooden stick at his Henderson, Nev. home, then cut off his head and drove it back to her Las Vegas neighborhood, where she tossed it in a trash receptacle.

Neither his head nor the murder weapon was ever found.

According to a police report obtained by KLAS, the victim’s mother found his headless corpse in his home doused with chemicals and smoking on August 7.

Michaels — in custody since her August 7, 2023 arrest — initially admitted to police bashing Johnathan’s head in, but said it was because he tried initiating unwanted sex while she rubbed his back in bed.

Deal or No Deal?

On September 17, 2024, Michaels copped to a plea deal for second-degree murder. Under the deal, she would have served 15 years to life, with parole eligibility after 15 years.

However, in an emotional outburst during her July 17, 2025 sentencing hearing, Michaels withdrew her plea, claiming that she could prove her innocence.

Michaels’ defense attorney accused Deviere of committing the murder, alleging that he flew into a jealous rage after Michaels asked for a divorce so she could reconcile with his father.

The jury didn’t buy it.

Michaels is scheduled to return to Clark County District Court for sentencing on January 8, 2026.
