Following a four-year stint at Hard Rock, Miss’d America, LLC, last year signed a contract with Caesars Entertainment to host the drag event. The casino company, which also operates Harrah’s and Tropicana in Atlantic City, opted for its namesake property in town.

The Miss’d America Pageant’s theme for 2025 is “Disco Down.” The annual gathering supports various LGBTQIA+ charities.

“We are very happy to be returning to Caesars Atlantic City, which is a true GLBTQ+ supporter, to bring a high-profile, inclusive, and professional event to Atlantic City for residents, tourists, and the community at large. Together we can all be stronger and prouder,” said pageant founders, Hon. John Schultz and Gary Hill.

Caesars Atlantic City is thrilled to welcome back Miss’d America this year, which remains one of Atlantic City’s longest-running and most popular shows all year,” added Karen Worman, senior vice president and general manager for Caesars Atlantic City. “Beyond being one of the city’s premier entertainment events for over 30 years, we feel so fortunate to partner with an amazing organization that has raised over $500,000 for non-profits across our region.”

The 2025 Miss’d America goes down Saturday, September 6, beginning at 8 pm inside the Circus Maximus Theater. Tickets start at $25. The shindig will be hosted by Carson Kressley of “Queer Eye for the Straight Guy” and “Dancing with the Stars” fame.

Miss’d America Backstory

Miss’d America traces its roots to 1994 when a local club in Atlantic City held a spoof of the world-famous Miss America Pageant that was first held in Atlantic City in September 1920. The “miss’d” in Miss’d America refers to the pageant’s participants who “missed” getting into Miss America.

After a five-year hiatus, the Miss’d America Pageant returned in 2010 inside Boardwalk Hall. It’s been held every year since, except for 2014. The Showboat and Borgata have been additional hosts for the event.

Miss’d America welcomes anyone who was assigned male at birth to compete.

The use of hormones, silicone, or other forms of body augmentation doesn’t preclude participation in the contest. Interested in participating? More info can be found here

Caesars LGBTQ+ Ally

Caesars Atlantic City hosting the 2025 Miss’d America Pageant is the casino company’s latest measure of support of LGBTQ+ communities. On Tuesday, Casino.org reported that if Caesars Entertainment wins a casino license for New York City, the company, along with its co-developers behind the Caesars Palace Times Square initiative, says they would donate $5 million to Callen-Lorde, an LGBTQ+ healthcare provider.

Caesars has also been regularly recognized by the Human Rights Campaign Equality Index for being among the best places for LGBTQ+ people to work. Caesars maintains a perfect 100/100 score for workforce protections, inclusive benefits, internal training, inclusive culture, corporate social responsibility, and responsible citizenship.

“Representation and inclusivity are essential to us at Caesars Entertainment, which is why we were the first to launch an employee resource group for LGBTQ+ team members and allies in the industry, among many other initiatives,” said Heather Rapp, senior vice president of corporate social responsibility for Caesars Entertainment. “To continue to receive a perfect score from the Human Rights Campaign Foundation further exemplifies our commitment and leadership in the space and motivates us to continue to improve for our LGBTQ+ team members and allies.”
