Sports Bettors Back Lions in Thanksgiving Clash

It’s turkey drumsticks and NFL all day long in the U.S., with three holiday games on the schedule, kicking off with the Green Bay Packers in Detroit to play the Lions at 1 p.m. EST on Fox.

According to ESPN BET, soon to be theScore Bet in all U.S. jurisdictions where PENN operates online betting (Dec. 1 launch), bettors are all over the Lions, with 68.9% of bets, and 62.2% of handle on Lions -3; 70.3% of bets and 74.7% of handle are on Lions ML (-155.)
The Packers (7-3-1) beat QB Jared Goff and the Lions (7-4) in Week 1, 27-13, sacking Goff four times. For the Lions to make bettors happy they will have to draw up different schemes and runs for David Montgomery and Jahmyr Gibbs to counter the Packers’ run defence led by Micah Parsons.

Most bet player props at DraftKings are Gibbs 1st TD Scorer, followed by Gibbs anytime TD Scorer, Gibbs 2+ TD Scorer, and the Packers’ Christian Watson Receiving Yards 40+.
The Packers are 80% to make the playoffs according to the ESPN tracker this morning, the Lions 72%.
The Kansas City Chiefs (6-5) in Dallas to take on the Cowboys (5-5-1, 4:30 p.m. EST, CBS) is a little tighter, according to ESPN BET – 54% of bets and 62.9% of handle are on the Chiefs spread (-3.5); 62.2% of bets and 57.1% of handle are on Chiefs ML (-190).
Pass defence is where the rubber hits the road in this one. Dallas has allowed 252.3 passing yards per game, third worst in the NFL.
Mahomes Moving Up
Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes is second in the NFL in passing yards (2,977), third in QBR at 71.9,. He is now tied for third in FanDuel MVP futures, behind the Rams’ Matthew Stafford (-220), Drake Maye of the New England Patriots (+220), tied with the Colts’ Jonathan Taylor (+2000).
Most bet player props in that game according to DraftKings is the Cowboys’ CeeDee Lamb 1st TD Scorer, Chiefs’ Rashee Rice Anytime TD Scorer, Lamb 2+ TD Scorer, and Rice Receiving Yards 50+.
And this evening, the Cincinnati Bengals (3-8) are in Baltimore to play the Ravens (6-5, 8:20 p.m. EST, NBC). Joe Burrow is back at QB for the Bengals, out to prove he is still a superstar, looking to save the Bengals season. Remember last season – Burrow threw four TDs and 428 yards in a wild 35-34 Ravens’ win. WR Ja’Marr Chase is out for tonight, suspended one game for a spitting incident.
Bettors are split on the spread – 53% of bets, 50.1% of handle on the Bengals +7. However 75.6% of bets. and 82.7% of handle are on the Ravens ML (-340), at ESPN BET.
