- DraftKings is now operating in 29 US states, plus Washington, DC, Puerto Rico, and Canada
DraftKings announced formal plans on Monday to launch its mobile sportsbook in Missouri on December 1, when that market goes live, and like other operators, they’re greasing the rails with bonus bets when people register between now and launch day.

DraftKings is offering a bonus where if new customers bet $5, they get $300 in bonus bets. Earlier this year, the Missouri Gaming Commission (MGC) granted DraftKings a temporary direct mobile sports wagering license, allowing the operator to offer its product independently across the state without needing to be affiliated with a land-based casino or pro sports team.
“DraftKings is built for passionate sports fans, making Missouri an exciting jurisdiction for us to enter with its rich sports culture, and several professional teams across the state,” said DraftKings’ chief revenue officer Greg Karamitis in a statement. “This is an incredible time of year for sports fans with NFL, NBA, NHL, college football, and college basketball all in-season, and we look forward to elevating the experience for Missouri sports fans, responsibly, with our top-rated online sportsbook.”
Chiefs Rising in NFL Power Rankings
Karamitis is right – it’s an opportune time on the sports calendar to be offering sports betting. The Kansas City Chiefs scored a wild 23-20 (OT) comeback win over the Indianapolis Colts on Sunday, and they’re rising a few points in power rankings across the nation. At 6-5, maybe they’ve turned a corner.
DraftKings is one of only two sportsbook operators launching in Missouri with untethered licenses. Sports betting goes live just in time for a Sunday Night Football matchup between the Chiefs and the Houston Texans on December 7.
BetMGM, bet365, FanDuel, Caesars, and Fanatics will also be live on December 1.
Missouri will be the 29th US state where DraftKings is offering sports betting, along with Washington, DC, Puerto Rico, and Ontario, Canada. They signed a deal with the Chiefs in 2022, making them the team’s official sports betting operator. They recently signed a similar agreement with the St. Louis Blues.
DraftKings kicks off live betting with a special launch on December 1 with a ceremonial first bet at The Palladium in St. Louis featuring Missouri sports greats Tony Gonzalez, Isaac Bruce, and Brett Hull. Missouri House Speaker Jonathan Patterson will be on hand to make some remarks.
