Max Casino Whips Out New Logo, Loyalty Club, Chips and Five Free Bucks

It seems like only yesterday when the Westin Casuarina announced it would become Max Casino at The Westin Las Vegas.

Well, the slightly-off-The-Strip casino has wasted no time in slapping up new signs with a fancy new logo.

Not for nothing, but Max backwards is Xam, a type of Vietnamese folk music.

But wait, there’s more!

Max Casino has already rolled out its new casino chips, and here’s a look.

New chips just play better.

All this rebranding, of course, is an attempt to pump some new energy into this sometimes lethargic casino. The message is “Come back to The Max!”

We were not paraphrasing.

In fact, Max Casino wants you back so much, they’re giving away money.

If you convert your old Westin Casuarina loyalty club membership to a new one, you’ll get a commemorative $5 Grand Opening chip, no strings attached.

We happen to be a huge fan of free money.

Yes, it’s a $5 chip. You can play it at one of the Max’s tables or you can cash it in, on the spot, for $5 cash. Of course, collectors like this Las Vegas blog would never do that. We’re keeping it!

Here’s an interesting story about where chips go to die.

New loyalty club members get $10 in free slot play, which isn’t too shabby, either.

While the Max Casino at The Westin Las Vegas (say that five times, fast) may not be the biggest or the most boisterous casino in Las Vegas, it’s cozy, the staff is friendly and there’s a bar just feet from the casino floor.

We'll be stopping by more now. That $5 chip made us BFFs.

Max Casino also has some other casino offerings to look for, including a “Table Games Happy Hour” each day from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., with 25-cent roulette and $3 craps, and “Early Bird $3 Blackjack,” each day from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
