Multi-Billion Dollar Paramount Deal

U.S. President Donald Trump is part of the preparation work being done for the event.

White went on CBS’ morning show today to confirm the event – July 4, 2026, at the White House.

“It is definitely going to happen,” he said. “I talked to him last night, him being the president. I’m flying out there at the end of this month, and I’m going to sit down and walk him through all the plans and the renderings. We’re going to start deciding what he wants and doesn’t want. Think about this. When you were just asking me, at the beginning, how I felt about where we are today, July 4, 250th birthday of the United States of America. Live on CBS from the White House.”

Ivanka Involved

Trump’s daughter Ivanka is speaking with White as well to help plan the event.

White has said it’s too early to name fighters who will be taking part.

It’s been hectic 24 hours for the UFC. Yesterday, Paramount and TKO Group Holdings, a sports and entertainment company that owns UFC, WWE, and PBR, the bull riding organization, announced a seven-year, USD $7.7 billion media rights agreement.

$7.7 Billion Deal

Starting in 2026, all UFC numbered events and Fight Nights will stream live on Paramount+, with select marquee fights simulcast on CBS.

UFC and Paramount are moving away from UFC’s existing Pay-Per-View model in favour of making premium events available at no additional cost to the U.S. subscriber base at Paramount+.

A number of big-name UFC fighters have said they want to participate in the White House fight, including the now-retired Jon Jones and Conor McGregor.

Jones Wants In

Jones said he came out of retirement and started training again when he heard about the Trump fight. A Jones fight against heavyweight champion Tom Aspinall would be an immensely popular betting event, but White poured cold water on involving Jones, who has had legal issues and has a reputation of not being reliable when working to set a card. White said the Trump event is one where the UFC can’t mess around with “will he or won’t he” scenarios.

Mark Collier, a trader with BetVictor, told Casino.org it’s tough to peg betting interest on an event like this because nothing of this kind has ever been done.

“Hard to gauge really,” he said. “Not sure we’ve had such an unorthodox sort of venue before or even something remotely comparable. Personally, with the variables involved such as Donald Trump, outside set up and most crucially, bouts likely to be PPV level then surely we would expect above average business.”
