Goo Goo Dolls (they of the “the”-less moniker) will play a five-show residency at the Venetian Theatre next spring. This marks a change of scenery for the Grammy-nominated rock band behind the Top 10 hits “Iris,” “Slide” and “Name.” Just last month, they performed at Mandalay Bay and, in their last Vegas visit, Virgin Hotels in September 2022.

This residency will be their first major Strip run since performing the Joint at old Hard Rock pre-pandemic.

The new residency dates are May 15, 16, 20, 22 and 23, 2026. Tickets start at $65 plus fees and go on sale 10 a.m. PT Friday, November 21 through Ticketmaster, VenetianLasVegas.com and The Venetian Resort box offices.

Weirder & (MGM) Grander

“Weird Al” Yankovic is having another moment. Nearly 50 years into his song parody career, he sold out all six nights of his June 2025 Venetian residency in minutes. So he’s upgraded to the 17,000-seat MGM Grand Garden Arena for the September 18, 2026 stop on his “Bigger and Weirder” tour.

The show promises the full-scale spectacle fans expect: giant video walls, a dozen costume changes, deep-cut rarities alongside classics like “Eat It,” “Amish Paradise” and his new Taylor Swift/Star Wars mash-ups, backed by his original four-piece band plus a four-piece horn section.

Tickets go on sale 10 a.m. PT Friday, November 21 via AXS.com.

Venetian Treat: Trick

Cheap Trick will perform “Live at Budokan” in its entirety on April 17 and 18, 2026 at the Venetian Theatre, celebrating the 50th anniversary of their live album.

Tickets go on sale 10 a.m. PT Friday via Ticketmaster.

XS Marks the DJ Spot

Wynn Nightlife recently locked in two of EDM’s biggest names for the long haul.

The Chainsmokers officially extended their Las Vegas residency at XS Nightclub and Encore Beach Club through 2029.

“Performing at Wynn these past few years has been such an incredible experience,” the duo said in a joint statement. “We value our relationship that we have built with the casino and nightlife team so much.”

The Grammy-winning duo, who have headlined nearly every major holiday at the Wynn since 2017, are appearing this Friday at XS during the F1 Grand Prix festivities.

Just last week, Wynn also announced that Calvin Harris will return to the property for a new two-year residency starting January 2026. This will mark the Scottish turntablist’s first commitment to Wynn since his original 2011 residency, which helped kick off the Strip’s EDM boom. (Harris most recent Vegas residency was in 2024 at the Fontainebleau.)
