- The Little Creek and Silver Reef casinos were targeted
A serial robber who law enforcement alleges held up at least two tribal casinos has been arrested.

Casino.org reported earlier this week that police in Washington State were searching for a suspect who tried to rob the Little Creek Casino Resort in Shelton last Saturday morning.
Casino.org was the first to report that the man captured in the casino’s surveillance video could be the same man who held up the Silver Reef Casino a week earlier. Police confirm that a man has been arrested in connection with both tribal casino robberies. He’s suspected of additional robberies, as well.
The Mason County Sheriff’s Office says a joint investigation with the Lewis County Narcotics Task Force, Thurston County Narcotics Task Force, Homeland Security Investigations, Federal Bureau of Investigations, Kent Police Department, and Squaxin Island Police Department led to the man’s arrest. His name wasn’t immediately made public.
Casino Spree
The Mason County Sheriff’s Office didn’t specify the suspect in custody allegedly robbing the Silver Reef, which is about a three-hour drive north of Little Creek. It said only that other casino thefts were allegedly involved.
In addition to the Little Creek Casino armed robbery, the same male is a suspect in additional casino robberies,” the Facebook post read.
The man is also alleged to have stolen emergency equipment from the Riverside Fire Authority in Centralia. Police say the man was safely apprehended in Kent on Monday evening.
Law enforcement previously described the suspect as roughly 5’7″ with a “small build.” The alert added that he was “possibly Hispanic” and between 20 to 30 years old.
The man altered his appearance between the Silver Reef and Little Creek robberies. In the first surveillance image, the suspect is seen with a full beard and his arms covered in tattoos. In the Little Creek incident, the man is wearing sleeves to conceal his tattoos and had since shaved to leave only a mustache.
In the Little Creek Casino incident, the man brandished a firearm. However, the casino cage worker told him the register was empty, and he quickly fled.
Tribal police at the Silver Reef didn’t reveal if the man made off with any money or if he presented a firearm.
In Washington State, committing a robbery with a deadly weapon is a Class A felony. Possible penalties include up to 20 years in prison and a $50K fine.
Casinos are among the most surveilled businesses, but with lots of cash, they remain targeted by some robbers who think the risk is worth the possible reward. Successful robberies of casinos are rare.
Jaws of Life
The man alleged to have held up the tribal casinos is also suspected of stealing a so-called “jaws of life” from the Riverside Fire Authority. The emergency rescue tools can cost up to $40K for newer, hydraulic, battery-powered kits.
Police believe the man stole the jaws of life kit from a firetruck.
