- Massive Bills-Patriots showdown at 1 p.m., most bet game at sportsbooks
- Colts massive underdogs against Seattle with 44-year-old Phillip Rivers at QB
- Super Bowl preview in Denver today?
Betting storylines for NFL Week 15 this morning are led by the Buffalo Bills as small road favorites against the New England Patriots in a massive AFC showdown at 1 p.m. EST, in the snow and frigid cold (will feel like 23 degrees F), and the Denver Broncos receiving support as home underdogs versus the Green Bay Packers (4:25 p.m. EST). Super Bowl preview there?

Bills (9-4) have to beat the Patriots (11-2, winners of ten in a row) or they surrender the AFC East division.
“There are eight games with spreads of 6 or more points in Week 15,” said Christian Cipollini, Trading Manager, BetMGM. “A few underdogs covering or winning outright will break up parlays.”
Most bet games (tickets) so far at BetMGM – Bills at Patriots, Baltimore Ravens at Cincinnati Bengals, Packers at Broncos. Most bet spreads (tickets) – Bills -1.5, Los Angeles Chargers +6 (versus the Chiefs in Kansas City), and Carolina Panthers -2.5 in New Orleans against the Saints.
Ravens-Bengals Among Most Bet
Most bet spreads by handle are the Houston Texans -10 (at home against the Arizona Cardinals), Bills -1.5, and Philadelphia Eagles -12.5 (at home against the Las Vegas Raiders). Most bet totals so far this morning – Cleveland Browns at Chicago Bears (Under 38.5), Bills at Patriots (Over 49), Ravens at Bengals (Over 51.5).
Same deal at theScore Bet. Most bet games by handle are Bills at Patriots, Ravens at Bengals, Browns at Bears, Detroit Lions at L.A. Rams, and Raiders at Eagles.
Most lopsided splits by % of straight bets at theScore Bet: 49ers -12.5 (vs Titans) – 88.6%, Seahawks -13.5 (vs Colts) – 71.3%, Lions +6 (@ Rams) – 69.1%.
Patriots, Broncos and Rams are in the playoffs with wins today.
Will Allen Be the Difference-Maker?
Joey Feazel, Head of Football at Caesars Sportsbook, is paying especially close attention to Lions/Rams, Chargers/Chiefs and Bills/Patriots.
“We’re closely watching the final line movement in the Colts-Seahawks matchup. Over the past week, we’ve seen a significant 10-point adjustment following Daniel Jones’ injury,” he said. “It will be interesting to see how bettors respond and whether this shift impacts the overall handle compared to what we anticipated a few weeks ago.
“We’ve seen notable movement in the Rams-Lions line, shifting toward the Rams from -4.5 to -6. The total has also climbed from 52.5 to 55. This matchup carries extra intrigue given the history of the Jared Goff–Matthew Stafford trade, which fueled success for both franchises and turned this into a rivalry of sorts. With both teams fighting for position and boasting high-powered offenses, we expect strong bettor engagement, especially on props, given the scoring potential on both sides.
Browns-Bears Among Most Bet Totals
“We’ve seen some sharp action on the Chargers early, yet the line continues to drift toward the Chiefs despite their recent inconsistencies. The total has dropped, likely influenced by the forecasted cold weather, which is expected to play a role in how this game unfolds.”
Do the Bills still have the championship spirit. Bills QB Josh Allen does, especially on the running side. Bills can’t afford to lose today – Patrick Mahomes of the Chiefs, Joe Burrow of the Bengals, Lamar Jackson of the Ravens, all won’t be an impediment to a Super Bowl this year. Only Drake Maye of the Patriots stands in the way, at least in terms of getting out of the AFC.
44-Year-Old Rivers Hasn’t Played Since 2020
“Despite the Patriots winning the first meeting and now hosting in Foxborough after their bye week, we’re seeing heavy action on the Bills,” said Feazel. “A win here could help Josh Allen strengthen his MVP case, though he doesn’t fully control his own destiny. There’s little evidence he’s outperformed last season, and he has no ability to stop Matthew Stafford and his historic season along the way.”
On the players news front, 44-year-old QB Phillip Rivers, who hasn’t played a football game in 1800 days, starts for the Indianapolis Colts today in Seattle against the Seahawks, with Daniel Jones gone after tearing his Achilles. Phillips has the weight of the Colts’ playoff aspirations on his shoulders. At DraftKings the Colts are massive underdogs – +700, the Seahawks -1100.
Other noteworthy injury news – the Commanders, Raiders, and Jets are all without their starting QBs. The Cowboys’ CeeDee Lamb is back in the lineup, but the Bengals’ receiver Tee Higgins will sit out. Last minute news from ESPN’s Adam Schefter – Bears WR Rome Odunze, who was declared active, aggravated a foot injury during warmup and is out today. Shefter also reported that Packers RB Josh Jacobs, listed as questionable due to a knee injury, is expected to play against the Broncos. Other actives according to Shefter are Parker Washington, Emari Demercado, Joshua Palmer, Cedric Tillman and Deebo Samuel.
