  • Future of Las Vegas Raiders’ DE Maxx Crosby a dominant NFL offseason storyline
  • DraftKings has Chicago Bears betting favourites if Crosby dealt
  • Las Vegas Raiders GM said he expects Crosby to be on team next season

While Las Vegas Raiders’ star defensive end Maxx Crosby hasn’t formally asked for a trade, that hasn’t stopped a wave of online chatter speculating about it. Now sportsbooks are getting in on the action.

Five Pro Bowls

Crosby talk has taken on a life of its own this off-season with massive ramifications for a team that finished 3-14. The team’s decision to put Crosby on injured reserve towards the end of last season, due to a knee injury, clearly rankled him. The Raiders own the No. 1 pick in the NFL Draft April 23 and are expected to take Heisman Trophy-winning quarterback Fernando Mendoza.

The organization has been doing and saying all the right things when it comes to Crosby. A week ago, at the NFL Combine, Raiders general manager John Spytek told reporters he expected Crosby to be in a Raiders’ uniform when the season starts.

Las Vegas Gambling: Trade Rumours

Maxx is an elite player, and I’ve been very up front from the start when I got here, that we’re in the business of having really good players on the team,” he said. “We need a lot more of them. And it’s hard to build a great team without elite players. Maxx and I have a great relationship. He’s in the building every day, getting healthy right now. We talk on the phone, we text. So, I have a great relationship with Maxx.”

Crosby, 28, 6-foot-5, 255 pounds, has 69.5 career sacks, led the NFL in tackles for loss multiple times, has five Pro Bowl and two All-Pro nods, even had an interception last season. He is nicknamed “Condor” for relentlessly hunting down quarterbacks.

Bears Betting Favourites

Crosby signed a three-year contract, $106.5 million extension with the Raiders in 2025, averaging $35.5 million a year through 2029.

DraftKings has “next team” markets for four NFL players – Tyreek Hill, Kyler Murray, A.J. Brown and Crosby.

With Crosby, the Chicago Bears are betting favourites at -135, followed by the Raiders at +165, then the Dallas Cowboys +1200, Buffalo Bills +1200, Tampa Bay Buccaneers +1300, New England Patriots +1300, Philadelphia Eagles +1400 and the L.A. Rams +2000.

The Bears had just 35 sacks last season.

Salary Cap Room

With Hill, a wide receiver, the Kansas City Chiefs are at +150, Bills +600, Baltimore Ravens +700, LA Chargers +800, Patriots +1400, Raiders +1400, Rams +1400 and Pittsburgh Steelers +1600.

The Eagles are favoured to retain Brown, a wide receiver, at -175, followed by the Patriots +275, Chargers +700, Bills +900, Tennessee Titans +1000, Raiders +1400, Ravens +1600 and the San Francisco 49ers +1800.

The New York Jets are betting favourites to land the quarterback Murray, at +100, followed by the Minnesota Vikings +150, Miami Dolphins +320, Cleveland Browns +450, Atlanta Falcons +500, Indianapolis Colts +1100, Steelers +1300 and Carolina Panthers +3500.

The Las Vegas Raiders have close to $90 million in salary cap space, so it’s no surprise DraftKings has the team in on three of the four players.
