On Tuesday, the Hard Rock Bet online casino platform and sportsbook took its first bets in Michigan. Michigan iGaming players now have access to nearly 3,700 online casino games, from slot machines like Huff n’ Puff to live-dealer table games and traditional interactive table games.

The online casino debuted with Hard Rock Bet Jackpots, a progressive 10-cent side bet on every slot play that qualifies the spin to hit a mini, minor, major, or mega-jackpot. The starting jackpots range from $7 to $5,000, with the prizes rolling with every spin.

Michigan iGaming and online sports betting are limited to people aged 21 and older who are physically located within the state.

Tribal Partnership

Hard Rock Bet is owned and operated by subsidiaries of Hard Rock International, the hospitality and gaming conglomerate of the Seminole Tribe of Florida. The tribe entered the Michigan gambling market through a partnership with the Hannahville Indian Community.

The Hannahville Indian Community owns and operates the Island Resort & Casino in Harris on the Upper Peninsula. The tribally owned and operated resort has 450 hotel rooms, an RV park, 36 holes of championship golf, a spa, a saltwater pool, and seven restaurants and bars. As for the casino, there are 1,150 slots, more than a dozen table games, a bingo room, and a sportsbook.

Hard Rock Bet is Island Resort’s new iGaming partner after the tribe’s relationship with Churchill Downs and its TwinSpires dissolved. Hannahville ceased offering internet gaming in July.

As Casino.org reported last month, Michigan has overtaken New Jersey and Pennsylvania in the US iGaming industry, which is limited to only seven states. Online casinos in Michigan generated $278.5 million in October revenue from online slots, table games, and poker rake. October iGaming revenue for New Jersey was $260.3 million and $251.1 million in Pennsylvania.

Hard Rock Brand

Few iGaming companies have stronger brand awareness than Hard Rock.

The iGaming platform joins a crowded — though rich — online casino market that’s currently led by BetMGM and FanDuel, the respective partners of MGM Grand Detroit and MotorCity. DraftKings is a distant third through its partnership with the Bay Mills Indian Community.

In New Jersey, the only other state where Hard Rock Bet runs an online casino, the platform reported 2025 iGaming revenue through October of $127.7 million. That trailed FanDuel ($533.3 million), DraftKings ($467.9 million), BetMGM ($308.4 million), Borgata ($209.1 million), and Caesars Palace ($165.7 million).

Along with New Jersey and Michigan, where Hard Rock Bet conducts iGaming and online sports betting, the Hard Rock Bet online sportsbook is operational in Arizona, Colorado, Florida, Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, Tennessee, and Virginia.
