UFC President Dana White is the ultimate promoter, so it’s no surprise he’s jumped aboard the train pumping up U.S. President Donald Trump’s plans to host a UFC event at the White House.

America’s 250th Anniversary
Trump wants to see a UFC event on the White House lawn in 2026 to help celebrate America’s 250th birthday celebrations. He made the announcement at an event at the Iowa State Fairgrounds July 3.
There had been no official announcement from the UFC until today, when White went on Full Send Podcast to talk about it.
“[Trump] loves the sport, so he wants to do a UFC event there,” White said. “And why would we say no to that? Tons of challenges. First of all, I don’t even know how many people can get in. Not to mention the fact that Secret Service isn’t going to let a lot of people come do this. Everybody’s going to have to have a background check. Whoever gets to be there live, it will be such a unique, amazing experience in their lifetime to be able to go to this fight.”
White says he is promising “the baddest card of all time … everybody wants to fight.”
Jones Back Training
Now comes word that heavyweight Jon Jones, who had retired just a few weeks ago, has entered the UFC drug testing program after hearing about Trump’s event.
White said it’s always the media that takes chatter about possible UFC matchups then embellishes it. Then he promptly tossed out this nugget to the podcasters:
The dream main event right now would be Aspinall vs. Jones,” he said.
Tom Aspinall is the current UFC heavyweight title, assuming the belt after Jones retired.
Trump Big Supporter of UFC
Other than Ilia Topuria versus Islam Makhachev, there isn’t a more highly anticipated potential fight than Jones versus Aspinall.
Jones went on X and said: “Who knows what the future holds, but the moment I heard Donald Trump’s announcement, I started training again.”
McGregor Hints at Comeback
White also said on the podcast that Conor McGregor “could be” on the same card at the White House as Jones.
McGregor has already come out on X and said he’s interested in Trump’s UFC event.

At the White House? Might as well add mud wrestling and Roller Derby. But then again it’s Trump so the word “respect” doesn’t exist on his world.
