Levin replaces GeoComply co-founder Anna Sainsbury, who moves into the role of executive chairman. Levin officially starts in his new role on Tuesday.
GeoComply, headquartered in Vancouver, provides fraud prevention and cybersecurity solutions that detect location fraud and help verify a user’s true digital identity for clients located around the world.
Geolocation Solutions Installed on Over 200 Million Devices
GeoComply is already partnering with several private online gaming operators in Ontario’s thriving commercial iGaming market.
Sainsbury will focus now on strategic vision and governance, the company said in a statement on Tuesday morning. Co-founder David Briggs, who was the company’s chief product and technology officer, will shift his focus to product and innovation.
The opportunities in this space are immense, and I look forward to working with Anna, David, and the entire GeoComply team to build on the company’s success and drive further growth for our clients,” Levin said in a written statement. “My experience in scaling businesses and driving product innovation will be instrumental as we navigate the evolving landscape of geolocation technology, ensuring we provide our customers with the most reliable and effective solutions.”
Levin served in senior leadership roles at Flutter Entertainment over the past decade, including as CEO of the US business and president of FanDuel. Before that, he spent 12 years at Ticketmaster, where he led the product and ecommerce teams. Levin oversaw Ticketmaster’s expansion into mobile and resale.
Looking to Expand its Market
“I am confident that under his leadership, GeoComply will continue to innovate and expand its global footprint, ensuring we remain at the forefront of geolocation security and fraud prevention,” said Sainsbury. This transition enables me to dedicate more time to our long-term strategic direction, focusing on how we can better serve our partners.”
GeoComply has been around for 10 years, and its geolocation solutions are installed on over 200 million devices, analyzing over a billion transactions every month.
GeoComply’s geolocation fraud detection technologies are utilized in the online gaming and sports betting space. The company also assists streaming video broadcasters, and customers in the online banking, payments, and cryptocurrency industries.
GeoComply’s customers include Akamai, Nextdoor, BBC, BetMGM, DraftKings, FanDuel, and Luno.
