Rampart Casino’s Getting a Fancy New High Limit Room
The off-Strip Rampart Casino (about 20 minutes west of the Las Vegas Strip) is doing its best to keep up with the proliferation of high limit rooms at locals casinos.
Rampart plans to open its new high limit slots room on July 3, 2025.
The new high limit room follows on the heels of other high limit room launches at neighboring Suncoast and the nearby Red Rock Resort. We love the smell of fresh slots, so let’s look at the renderings, shan’t we?

All the new high limit rooms look pretty much the same, but bless their hearts, they’re trying.
High limit areas in locals casinos are often “aspirational,” meaning they don’t currently have a ton of big players, but elevated spaces are intended to entice them to the casino.
Unlike most Strip high limit slot rooms, the limits in locals casinos aren’t particularly outrageous. The other night, we saw a $5,000 per spin Double Diamond machine at Wynn. This isn’t that.
High limit rooms give players a little privacy and special attention, along with occasional amenities they may not get on the main casino floor like private restrooms, dedicated ATMs, snacks and quicker handpays. Given the taxable threshold is still at a ridiculous $1,200, handpays come fast and furious in high limit rooms.
Rampart’s high limit room will have “key to credit” available, which is a service where you provide your tax information up front, then get to skip getting individual handpays, receiving your tax paperwork at the end of the session. Slot attendants hate the system, but it’s very handy for players.

Rampart’s high limit room is part of a recent $75 million renovation of the resort’s hotel, conference center, spa and restaurants.
The new high limit room will have the requisite fancy bar. From the resort: “The ‘crown jewel’ of the new space is the exclusive, high-end luxury bar. Showcasing a signature craft cocktail menu, top-shelf liquors and an extensive selection of fine wines, the High Limit bar is open daily from 10:00 a.m. to midnight. To further elevate the experience, a luxury bartender will provide unmatched service to guests throughout the High Limit Room, ensuring a personalized experience for every player.”
Translation: “Luxury bartenders” means “attractive bartenders.” In addition, the video poker pay tables will be a smidge worse than on the casino floor due to the “top-shelf liquors” and aforementioned attractive bartenders. That said, we don’t expect the pay tables to be terrible at the high limit bar. (Looking at you, El Cortez.)

If you haven’t been out west in Las Vegas, you can hit Rampart, Suncoast and Red Rock all in one trip. These places cater to discerning locals, so the values are exponentially better than on The Strip. The machines have lower holds, staff tends to be friendlier and while we rarely win a penny at Rampart, they have a devoted following, mostly of olds.
Find out more about Rampart Casino on the official site, and you know damn well we’ll be over there when the new high limit room opens to donate some of our winnings from Ellis Island to help the bartenders put their kids through college.
