White Castle at Casino Royale to Close, Ditto Henderson Location

Two of five White Castle locations are set to close in or near Las Vegas, including at Casino Royale on the Las Vegas Strip. Another will close in Vegas-adjacent Henderson.

Casino Royale’s White Castle closes March 31, 2026, according to a company official.

Our sources say the Fremont Street White Castle is safe.

White Castle Las Vegas
White Castle was America’s drunchies headquarters on the Las Vegas Strip. Past tense.

Beyond the locations scheduled to close, and on Fremont Street, there are additional locations on Paradise Road and in Jean.

A rumor about the closure of White Castle at Casino Royale was first shared by @Vegas_Hot_Mama on Instagram.

We reached out to White Castle and received confirmation of the closure of two Las Vegas locations. The White Castle official didn’t specify the locations in their statement, but employees are aware the White Castle at Casino Royale is finished and a reliable source says the Henderson location (535 Marks Street) is slated to be shuttered.

Here’s the statement from Jamie Richardson, Vice President at White Castle: “As White Castle celebrates 105 years as a family-owned business, we’re very pleased to amp up our commitment to Las Vegas. We’re excited to be transitioning from a licensor to owner of three Las Vegas area locations. (Two of the original five locations in the market will be closed as of March 31.) We’re thankful for the partnership with our licensee and all their good work that provided the foundation for our presence in Nevada.”

How closing two White Castle restaurants is “amping up” the company’s commitment to Las Vegas, we may never grasp, but far be it from us to ask awkward questions.

If you don’t care about White Castle closing at Casino Royale, you probably aren’t hangry right now.

Partners in the Casino Royale location are the Herbst family, operators of the Terrible Herbst gas and convenience store chain.

White Castle opened at Casino Royale (technically, Best Western Plus Casino Royale, but nobody calls it that) on January 27, 2015, to much hoopla.

Casino Royale continues to limp along (its live table games went away years ago, and we haven’t visited since), and the closure of White Castle is yet another blow for this hold-out from another era. Rumors of a potential demolition and rebuild have not come to fruition.

White Castle has its detractors, but fans are die-hards.

This is a developing story, but White Castle’s days are numbered at Casino Royale.
