- Popular social media influencer likely died of a drug overdose
- Anuna Sood reportedly snorted cocaine with two women in his Wynn hotel room shortly before his death
- Authorities say toxicology results could take several months to complete
Anunay Sood, a popular travel influencer who died at age 32 in Las Vegas earlier this month, most likely succumbed to a drug overdose. According to a police report obtained by KLAS-TV/Las Vegas, Sood was found dead in his Wynn Las Vegas hotel room on November 4 alongside a small clear bag containing an unspecified white powder.

The police report stated that Sood and two women — one of whom was his fiancée, Shivani Parihar — met a man on the casino floor around 4 a.m. and purchased what they believed to be cocaine. The trio returned to their room, where they snorted the substance using a rolled $100 bill.
The women told investigators they fell asleep, but awoke about an hour later to find Sood unresponsive.
Emergency responders attempted resuscitation, administering CPR and five doses of Narcan, but pronounced Sood dead at 7:23 am.
The Clark County coroner’s office has listed Sood’s cause of death as “pending.” Toxicology results, which may take several months, will determine what the drugs were and whether they were responsible for his death.
Sood, who was based in Dubai, was reportedly in town on an all-expenses-paid trip to attend the annual Las Vegas Concours, a luxury car show held at the Wynn.
