Police in Rhode Island say a man at a Bally’s casino was lured to a hotel room, presumably on promises of sexual favors, only to be robbed at knifepoint by a third male suspect.

Bally's Lincoln casino robbery crime
The Lincoln Police Department in Rhode Island alleges that Dominyck Sims, Naushka Machuca, and Tashawana Tuckta-Warner, all of Massachusetts, orchestrated a robbery scheme at the Bally’s Lincoln casino during the early morning hours of Dec. 28, 2025. The Lincoln Police Department responded to a call at approximately 1:43 am on Dec. 29 to Bally’s Lincoln, where a man reported being robbed inside a hotel room. The victim alleged that he was approached on the casino floor by two women, later identified as 19-year-old Naushka Machuca from Marlborough, Mass., and 19-year-old Tashawana Tuckta-Warner from Boston, who enticed him to a hotel room.

Upon entering, the unidentified victim claimed a man, later identified by police as 28-year-old Dominyck Sims from Worcester, Mass., threatened him with a knife. The victim claims he handed over approximately $1,500 in cash.

The trio allowed the victim to leave but was told not to contact the police.

Robbery Suspects Charged

The Lincoln Police Department says a prompt investigation, assisted by casino surveillance footage, led to the arrests of Machuca, Tuckta-Warner, and Sims.

Sims was charged with first-degree robbery, conspiracy, the use of weapons other than firearms, and disorderly conduct. A first-degree robbery charge in Rhode Island carries a minimum prison sentence of 10 years, with the possibility of life imprisonment.

Along with a lengthy prison sentence, a first-degree robbery conviction faces fines of up to $15,000. The use of weapons other than firearms, defined as items like a slingshot, billy club, metal knuckles, and “Kung-Fu weapons,” carries a prison term of up to one year and a fine of up to $1,000.

Machuca and Tuckta-Warner were charged with first-degree robbery and conspiracy. Machuca was additionally charged with conspiracy.

Rhode Island law enforcement encouraged the public to “remain vigilant and exercise caution” when interacting with unfamiliar individuals.

Bally’s Lincoln, formerly Twin River, is a casino, hotel, and former racetrack that has more than 3,800 slot machines, 110 live dealer table games, and a Bally’s Sportsbook. The resort’s hotel has 136 guestrooms and is accompanied by a full-service Korean spa, an indoor pool, a fitness center, and meeting space.

Room Robberies

Casino patrons on a winning streak and high rollers with their pockets stuffed with cash have been prime targets for robbers for as long as casinos have existed. With casino floors heavily surveilled by the “eye in the sky,” a popular deceit for schemers is to lure unsuspecting victims to hotel rooms.

The thinking is that hotel rooms are private areas where robberies can easily occur. Men often fail to report such thefts out of worry that their agreement to pay for sex will land them in trouble with the law or their spouse.
