Owned and operated by the Oneida Indian Nation, Point Place is a gaming and dining facility with 500 slot machines and 20 live-dealer and electronic table games. The casino is located in Bridgeport along Oneida Lake.

Beginning Friday, the casino will expand with 400 additional slot machines featuring the newest and latest titles. The remodeled Fireside Lounge now has a wood-burning fireplace with seating for 60, plus a 70-chair bar.

Point Place is operated by Turning Stone Enterprises, the management firm owned by the Oneida Indian Nation.

Our guests and our team members have made Point Place Casino a really special place to visit, and all of this growth won’t change that. Instead, it’s creating more ways to enjoy time with us. These updates are only the first step, and there’s even more to be excited about in the months ahead,” said Jerry Marrello, Turning Stone Enterprises’ vice president.

“We’re thrilled to share the first phase of our expansion with guests, especially because so many of these updates and new amenities were driven by their feedback,” Marrello added.

Along with the new casino and revamped Fireside Lounge, the first phase of the Point Place overhaul includes a remodeling of the casino’s Perfect Pour Café. A new guest services desk has also opened.

Forthcoming Expansion

The second part of the Point Place Casino $50 million investment, Marrello says, will bring the property on-site lodging with 100 hotel rooms and eight suites.

An American grill, additional event space, and more parking are also in the works. Burgers of Madison County is also expanding with breakfast hours.

The Oneida Indian Nation’s $50 million overhaul of Point Place Casino comes as the tribe winds up its $370 million investment at its larger property, Turning Stone Resort Casino in Verona. That expansion project focused on bringing more convention business to the upstate New York resort destination.

About 77K square feet of flexible event space has been built, along with 258 more hotel rooms, a boutique casino, and a 2,000-space parking garage.

New York Tribal Casinos Prosper

The Oneida Indian Nation is one of three federally recognized tribes in upstate New York that have Class III gaming compacts with the state to operate traditional slot machines and conduct live dealer table games and in-person sports betting. The other tribes are the Seneca and Cayuga nations.

In addition to Point Place’s 900 slot machines, the Oneida’s Turning Stone Resort Casino has 2,000 slots, 66 tables, a bingo hall, the largest poker room in New York, and a sportsbook. The resort offers over 1,000 hotel rooms across five accommodation options, more than 20 restaurants and bars, an abundance of wedding and convention space, a concert venue, a spa and fitness complex, and 54 holes of championship golf.

The National Indian Gaming Commission (NIGC) reported Thursday that tribal casinos grouped into its East Coast segment saw gross gaming revenue climb 11.2% in the 2024 fiscal year to more than $10.2 billion.
