  • Philadelphia Eagles backed heavily so far in NFL Wild Card Weekend betting
  • Bills slightly favoured over the Jaguars
  • Rams huge betting favourites against Panthers

Today is Day 1 of perhaps the NFL’s most exciting period – Wild Card Weekend, with six games, starting this afternoon, then Sunday and Monday evening. According to sportsbook traders, the San Francisco 49ers in Philadelphia to play the Eagles in an NFC match is the game to watch from a betting perspective.

The Eagles are being backed heavily.

“At this point, we’ll be pulling for San Francisco on Sunday, as Philly covering the spread would be one of the biggest results of the weekend,” said Adrian Horton, Sr. Director, North American Sports Trading, theScore Bet. “The Eagles are by far the most-bet spread market by handle out of the six games, and we’ve moved them out two points to -5.5.”

Christian Cipollini, Senior Trading Manager, BetMGM, said the NFL playoffs are wide open this year.

The NFL Playoffs are wide-open this year,” he said. “Any team could lift the Lombardi Trophy this year and we wouldn’t be surprised. The Chargers or Jaguars winning it all would be the best outcome for the sportsbook.”
