Las Vegas-based Boyd Gaming says its Cadence Crossing Casino in Henderson will open to the public at noon local time on Wednesday, March 25.

The 50,000-square-foot casino will feature 450 slot machines and video poker. The venue will additionally offer “several scrumptious food and beverage” outlets.

Cadence Crossing is replacing Jokers Wild, the Henderson locals casino adjacent to the master-planned Cadence Community that continues to be one of the most desirable neighborhoods in Southern Nevada.

“Cadence is one of the fastest-growing master-planned communities in the nation, and we look forward to providing our neighbors with a modern and compelling gaming entertainment experience when Cadence Crossing Casino opens its doors,” said Keith Smith, president and CEO of Boyd Gaming.

Cadence Crossing Casino will open with live entertainment, with acts booked for the casino’s first five nights, March 25-29.

Growing Community

Cadence Crossing Casino is located along Boulder Highway, roughly 10 miles southeast of the Las Vegas Strip. Boyd says its investment, which the company hasn’t specifically defined but is among a $75 million capital allocation to its Southern Nevada properties, will become a “powerful new tourism draw for the community.”

If the casino fares as well as Boyd thinks it will, the company has plans to build a 114-room hotel on the property. The hotel would stand on the current Jokers Wild Casino property, which is set to be demolished in the coming months.

With strong residential growth continuing throughout the neighborhood, we believe Cadence Crossing Casino will be well-positioned to deliver a strong return on our investment. With significant land still available at Cadence Crossing for future development, we will have the opportunity to expand this property to meet the growing demand,” said Smith.

The Cadence Community sold over 1,200 new homes last year. That ranked third in the country among master-planned communities. The neighborhood spans 2,200 acres and emphasizes an active, outdoor lifestyle with 450 acres of park space. Cadence Central Park is a 50-acre public amenity that includes a 2,000-square-foot splash pad, a six-lane swimming pool, an amphitheater, and an outdoor fitness complex

Locals Casino Gaming

Boyd Gaming specializes in the locals market, with 10 casinos in the Las Vegas area. While gross gaming revenue on the Las Vegas Strip was flat in 2025, countywide casino win was up more than 1% from 2024.

With the population continuing to grow in Henderson, Boyd is further positioning itself to cater to the locals market.

During the company’s full-year earnings report, Boyd officials said the Las Vegas locals market “saw continued growth in gaming revenues due to strong play from our core customers, as well as impacts from continued softness in destination business.”
