Las Vegas is preparing one of its most ambitious New Year’s Eve productions ever, blending its signature free rooftop fireworks with a brand new aerial drone display.

The annual midnight fireworks display — an eight‑minute Grucci spectacle called “America’s Party” — will launch from the rooftops of Aria, Caesars Palace, Fontainebleau, MGM Grand, Planet Hollywood, Resorts World, the Strat, Venetian, Treasure Island and the Palms.

This is the first time the Palms will participate — thus also making it the first time that a non-Strip resort will. (The Palms fills in the gap left by the Mirage, which closed in July 2024.)

Also for the first time, 600 synchronized drones will join the Strip’s traditional midnight show, launching from the Las Vegas Event Plaza near Wynn Las Vegas. The drones will follow a countdown displayed on the exterior of Sphere before lifting into a choreographed sequence that builds toward a patriotic finale marking the start of the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence.

The fireworks show will be synchronized to a rock‑themed soundtrack broadcast on two local radio stations, KOMP 92.3 FM and KXPT 97.1 FM.

As usual, the Strip will convert into a pedestrian‑only zone. All vehicle traffic between Tropicana Avenue and Spring Mountain Road will close in the early evening, with access restricted until after the crowds disperse. To support the influx of visitors, the Las Vegas Monorail will run extended hours, operating continuously from 7 a.m. on December 31 through 2 a.m. on January 2.
