Brazil’s regulated igaming market kicked off Jan. 1, 2025, with nearly 80 operators now licensed, with GGR topping $7 billion last year, over 200 million people in a country where soccer passion tops any other sport.

The GeoComply platform, purpose-built for the Brazil market, brings KYC verification, anti-fraud intelligence, and geolocation compliance together into one package.

Complex Market

Brazil is one of the most complex and fast-moving regulated markets in the world, and operators there are dealing with challenges that off-the-shelf solutions simply aren’t built for,” said Kip Levin, CEO of GeoComply.

“We’ve taken the same approach that has delivered industry-leading pass rates across more than 30 jurisdictions—custom-built, locally tuned, obsessively optimized—and applied it to Brazil. The result is a single platform that solves KYC, fraud, and compliance together, so operators can focus on growth instead of managing vendor sprawl.”

Levin said the objective is to help operators welcome legitimate players into the fold, while acting decisively against fraud. In a statement, GeoComply referenced the successful pass rates in other regulated markets that utilize its technology – 95% across U.S. states and above 90% in the UK.

Pass Rates Improved

“As we grow internationally, we know we can trust GeoComply to deliver excellent results and show up as a strategic partner that is focused on our success,” said George Moschetas, Director of Product at Kaizen Gaming, the parent company of Betano.

“Their team’s expertise and dedication to getting it right have helped us achieve high pass rates and an excellent player experience in Brazil and Argentina, all while giving the entire team at Betano peace of mind that we are meeting evolving regulatory standards.”

Bragg Makes Executive Hires

Toronto-based Bragg Gaming Group, the igaming content and platform technology solutions provider, has announced the appointments of Morten Tonnesen as its new Chief Operating Officer and the promotion of Garrick Morris to the position of Executive Vice President of Global Content U.S. & Canada.

The hires are in line with the company’s stated focus on AI, the acceleration of its “Bragg AI Brain” initiative, and the company’s push into emerging markets like Live Racing and Prediction markets.

“Both leaders are highly qualified, bringing extensive iGaming expertise that will be vital as we embark on our next chapter: becoming a global B2B leader in Content, Engagement, and Infrastructure and what we believe will be iGaming’s ‘AI-First’ company,” said Matevž Mazij, CEO of Bragg Gaming Group. “Our cutting-edge tech stack has moved beyond the investment phase and is now a proven cash generator engineered for horizontal scaling.

“With Morten streamlining operations and Garrick focused on U.S. and Global content expansion, we also believe that we are uniquely positioned to provide the robust iGaming ecosystems required by leading players in the evolving Historical and Live Racing and Prediction markets. We believe Bragg will stand out as the sole B2B provider operating at the convergence of igaming, Sports, and Predictions.”

Tonnesen brings over 17 years of leadership experience in the igaming, sports betting and technology sectors.
