Mark Wojtowicz, host of “The 360 Vegas Podcast,” has died. The Las Vegas historian and personality launched his popular podcast in 2010, posting new episodes every two weeks until July 27. He took his own life three days later, after a long and public battle with mental illness. He was 49.

In a city built on spectacle, Wojtowicz carved out something far more enduring — connection. He didn’t just talk about Las Vegas, he invited listeners to feel its quirks, its legends and its soul.

He uncovered stories of eccentric visionaries, forgotten casinos and cinematic inaccuracies. Whether he was dissecting the rise and fall of Bob Stupak, tracing the lineage of the Flamingo Capri or crucifying 1997’s “Con Air” for depicting the former Hard Rock Hotel as a Las Vegas Strip property, Wojtowicz brought passion, personality and precision to every discussion.

“The 360 Vegas Podcast” typically featured news, reviews and “360 Nosh,” an exploration of culinary offerings in Las Vegas led by Wojtowicz’s foodie wife and co-host, Keren. Every episode began with an obscure fact about Vegas history that amazed Wojtowicz.

Ranked among the top 10% of podcasts worldwide by the database Listen Notes, “360 Vegas” ran for 536 episodes and amassed a dedicated community. It drew hundreds of loyal fans to each of its 360 Vegas Vacation events. (The last was held June 22-24, 2025 at Mandalay Bay, Luxor and Downtown Grand).

Wojtowicz grew up in Conneaut, Ohio and fell in love with Vegas in the early 2000s. Since then, he dedicated his life to researching and enjoying the city he loved so much, he moved there with Keren, their cat and their two Bernese Mountain Dogs.

Struggled in the Open

In using “360 Vegas” as a platform for discussing his mental illness, Wojtowicz forged a deeper intimacy with his audience than most podcasters achieve.

“My life is a lie, or at least the majority of it has been a lie,” he said on Episode 319, titled “I Am Bipolar.” “This show literally changed my life. In one of the darkest moments I ever had, it’s been a huge part of my life since then, and I am a firm believer that the way that I can beat the odds and actually live with these issues, is to not be ashamed of them.

“And the best way that I know how to do that is to just be as open about them as I can possibly be.”

News of his death was broken by Keren, who wrote on X: “@360Vegas lost his battle yesterday. I appreciate everyone’s love and support. I ask for time to process and grieve.”

Vital Vegas blogger Scott Roeben, who co-hosted several “360 Vegas Podcast” episodes, posted this heartwarming tribute on Friday, which noted that “his honesty, creativity and passion for Las Vegas left a lasting mark, even as he carried a burden difficult to understand if you haven’t experienced it or been involved with someone dealing with it.”

Wojtowicz just became an author in February, with the publication of his historical deep dive, “Vegas: From Fremont to the Strip — How Las Vegas Casinos Evolved,” which is rated 4.5 stars out of 5 by Amazon users.
