Atlantic City Welcomes Jay-Z, Beyonce, and The Weeknd This Weekend

- Ocean Casino Resort will once again host the shindig
- The gala is by invitation only
Atlantic City is the place to be this weekend, as the Reform Alliance holds its biennial Casino Night & Gala.
The star-studded affair, headlined by Reform Alliance board member Jay-Z and his wife, Beyonce, includes a full set from The Weeknd. Other notable guests expected to attend, with some being chauffeured from NYC to Atlantic City via helicopter, include Kevin Hart, Travis Scott, DJ Khaled, and Micah Parsons.
Michael Rubin, the founder and CEO of Fanatics, which is today a leading mobile sportsbook, is also set to attend. Rubin is the co-chair of the Reform Alliance with Meek Mill, the Philly hip-hop artist whose 2017 imprisonment prompted a group of philanthropists, including Mill, Rubin, and Jay-Z, to establish the Reform Alliance.
Atlantic City Casino Gala
The 2025 Reform Alliance Casino Night & Gala returns to Atlantic City by way of Ocean Casino Resort this Saturday, September 13. Located on the northern end of the Atlantic City Boardwalk, Ocean is among the town’s most luxurious — and successful — casino properties. The resort is owned by Luxor Capital and Ilitch Companies.
The Reform Alliance “aims to transform probation and parole by changing laws, systems, and culture to create real pathways to work and well-being.” The black-tie affair raised $24 million in 2023.
Instead of tapping people in a revolving door between supervision and prison — a cycle that costs taxpayers billions — we’re working to move them from the justice system into stability,” the Reform Alliance mission states.
Mill’s two- to four-year prison term was handed down after he was charged with violating the conditions of his parole due to his involvement in an airport fight and riding a dirt bike on a New York City street. Mill was convicted on drug and illegal firearm charges in 2007, and repeatedly failed to meet the conditions of his parole after being released in 2009.
Mill’s 2017 incarceration led to the #FreeMeekMill movement. He was released from a Pennsylvania prison in April 2018. Pennsylvania Gov. Tom Wolf (D) pardoned him in 2023.
Items up for auction this Saturday at Ocean Casino Resort include a golf experience with Tom Brady at Michael Jordan’s ultra-exclusive private golf club in Florida called The Grove XXIII. A private performance from Megan Thee Stallion and a rare Audemars Piguet watch are also on the block.
$1 Million Blackjack Tournament
Gambling will also be a part of the Reform Alliance Casino Night & Gala at Ocean Resort.
A high-stakes blackjack tournament with a $1 million first-place prize is scheduled once again. The 2023 blackjack winner — Tao Group Managing Partner Andrew Goldberg — donated $750K of his winnings to Reform Alliance’s justice reform fund.
The main focus, however, will be the auction. Like the 2023 gala, Saturday’s block includes a George Condo painting.
It was two years ago that a Condo painting ignited a bidding war between Brady and Kim Kardashian, which sparked rumors that they were dating, or at least flirting. Condo, who was in attendance, ultimately put up a second painting after Brady and Kardashian’s bidding ran upwards of $2 million.
