Confirmed: Day N Vegas Festival Canceled

We’re hearing Day N Vegas, a music festival scheduled for September 2-4, 2022, is canceled. (Update: Following the publication of this story, our scoop has been officially confirmed.)

The hip-hop and R&B festival, held at the Las Vegas Festival Grounds (across from the Bonanza Gift Shop), was set to feature acts like Travis Scott, J. Cole, SZA and many other performers we also don’t recognize.

The plan was to have more than 100 acts over the three-day festival, but the event has been nixed.

Before blogs, where did we get all our smartassery?

An official announcement of the cancelation was made on July 1, 2022.

Here’s our Tweet about the cancelation that preceded the official announcement, because that’s just how we roll.

The event is produced by Goldenvoice, and the first iteration of the festival in Las Vegas happened in 2019.

Yes, we recognize Travis Scott, but not in a good way.

On the bright side, Day N Vegas is giving music fans time to cancel hotel reservations, etc.

Adele’s last-minute residency cancelation caused chaos, and many ticket-holders have yet to get refunds (because it’s officially a postponement, not a cancellation, but give it a minute).

Our first suspicion whenever anything’s canceled in Vegas is poor ticket sales, but this seemed to have a reasonably high level of interest.

As they say in the business, this is a developing story, so check back for more information as it becomes available.

Update (7/1/22): As mentioned, the festival confirmed cancelation a few hours after we first shared the news.

Update (7/1/22): Our instincts tend to be right. Here’s more about why Day N Vegas was canceled.
