Chippendales Hunk-a-Palooza Set to Relocate to Planet Hollywood
Our town’s cherished Chippendales are going through a rough patch, but a move to yet another new theater could provide a glimmer of hope.
Chippendales has announced the show will move from the Mat Franco theater at Linq to a dedicated space at Planet Hollywood starting July 3, 2025. The final show at Linq happens June 29, 2025.
The show will now take place in Plant Hollywood’s former Sin City Theater where “Tenors of Rock” and “Crazy Girls” once resided. Oh, and one of the most underrated shows in the history of Las Vegas, “Xavier Mortimer’s Magical Dream.”

We held off talking about the awkward part of this story until after the carefully retouched beefcake photo. You’re welcome.
As you may recall, Chippendales performed at Rio for 22 years. The show moved to Linq on Jan. 14, 2025.
Things, as they say, did not go as planned.
The news release announcing the show’s move to Planet Hollywood says, “After a great run at The Linq Hotel…” Yeah, that’s as far as we got. A “great run”? Sort of like how Pompeii had a “great run”?
Told you it was awkward.

There was a definite lack of awareness about the move to Linq from Rio and lackluster ticket sales reflected that dilemma.
The paucity of patrons at Linq reportedly resulted in serious challenges for the brawny performers, as many of them could only manage to hook up 3-5 times after every show, oh, the humanity.
Anyway, the show made a feeble attempt at hosting a brunch for some reason, the Chippendales Brunch at Chayo Mexican Kitchen + Tequila Bar, but it whiffed.
Onward and pumpward!
Here’s more from the news release, “Known for its high-energy performances, charismatic cast and worldwide recognition, Chippendales continues to be a must-see Las Vegas attraction for over two decades. The move to Planet Hollywood will allow the production team to elevate every aspect of the show—from lighting and sound to stage design and audience interaction—while maintaining the signature heat and vibe that has made the brand iconic for more than 45 years.”
The bottom line is Chippendales really is a vital part of the Las Vegas experience for many people.
Even we, a super masculine 200% heterosexual male whose handshake is classified as a seismic event, enjoy the show because of the reaction from the women in attendance. It’s nuts. Chippendales is the ultimate way for women to cut loose, and unlike the sometimes seedy vibe in strip clubs, it’s all good, clean fun. It’s sexy, but not sexual. The flirt without the squirt.

Look, it was either that or “All tickle, no pickle.” Moving on.
While there’s plenty of objectification going on, Chippendales is more about guilt-free escape and fantasy than exploitation or sleaze. It feels like more of a fitness and dance showcase than a strip show. Men go to strip clubs alone, women go to Chippendales together. It’s all about the shared experience.
Oh, and our gays love it. Yes, they’re ours, because we have never not had a good time in the company of the gays.
The Chippendales deserve a place to call their own and we trust in time they’ll take back their mantle as the most successful male revue in Sin City.
Chippendales will perform five nights a week (dark Monday and Wednesday) at 8:00 p.m., with a second show on Friday and Saturday at 10:00 p.m. Tickets range from $57.95 to $117.95.
The higher ticket price includes the services of an tech-savvy attendant who will delete the photos and videos off your friends’ phones so your boyfriend or husband doesn’t end up in the Lovelock Correctional Center.
While none of that is true, how is that not a service provided for an additional fee?
You’re welcome, Chippendales.
