Bojangles With Full Bar Sets Opening Date for Linq Promenade
There is a surprising level of interest in a new Bojangles coming to Linq Promenade. Which is why we’re happy to exploit that interest by sharing that Bojangles will open to the public at the Linq Promenade on Oct. 7, 2026, at 5:00 a.m.
The new location has been in the works for some time, and while there are six locations elsewhere in Vegas, this is the one most relevant and accessible to tourists.
Beyond the location, there’s another twist. At Linq Promenade, the Southern chicken-and-biscuits chain will have a full bar. Oh, and live entertainment, despite our best efforts to nix that annoying crap.
Bojangles takes over the former AmeriCAN Beer & Cocktails space. AmeriCAN (a stylistic affectation we would also like to see nixed) closed at the Linq Promenade on Sept. 28, 2025, after about a decade in business there. AmeriCAN relocated to TI, never to be heard of again.
Bojangles was founded in Charlotte, North Carolina, in 1977 by Jack Fulk and Richard Thomas. We mainly mention this because “Fulk” is just an awesome name. When an employee asks about the potential repercussions of insubordination, the company can just say, “Fulk around and find out.” Why should employees go above and beyond for the company? “For Fulk’s sake.” When Jack Fulk is out of the office, his secretary can just say, “Fulk off!”
We can keep going. This is sort of our comedy sweet spot.
The Bojangles name was inspired by Jerry Jeff Walker’s song “Mr. Bojangles.” The song was inspired by a New Orleans street performer who borrowed the nickname made famous by legendary tap dancer Bill “Bojangles” Robinson. For decades, the chain styled its name “Bojangles’,” with the apostrophe at the end, which annoyed everyone, so they officially dropped the punctuation during a 2020 brand refresh.
We’ll let Sammy Davis Jr. sing it since he was in the Rat Pack and all, so Vegas-related.
Beyond the bar, the new Bojangles will offer a good number of chicken-based offerings.
We shared the menu on Twitter and a number of people had thoughts about what’s going to be available.
“No bone-in chicken?” someone asked.
“No Cajun filet sandwich?” another asked.
We are not a noted expert about Bojangles, but we are a noted chicken tender expert, so we look forward to trying the ones at Bojangles at Linq Promenade.
We need to fluff this story a little bit, so let’s talk about Linq Promenade, shan’t we?
Before Caesars Entertainment spent roughly $550 million developing it, the area was a smelly alley between Imperial Palace (now Linq) and Flamingo. Caesars turned the alley into a 300,000-square-foot dining and retail district with the underappreciated High Roller observation wheel at the east end. The High Roller is a marvel of engineering, now overshadowed by the Sphere. Rude.
There’s been a good bit of tenant churn at Linq Promenade, but a surprising number of the earliest businesses have survived. Of the eight concepts Caesars announced in its first batch of tenants in 2012, six are still operating there: Brooklyn Bowl, Yard House, Flour & Barley, Off the Strip, Tilted Kilt and Chayo. Sprinkles and F.A.M.E. have gone to the great shopping promenade in the sky.
ICYMI: Caesars Entertainment no longer owns the Linq Promenade. In December 2024, the company sold the complex for $275 million to a joint venture of TPG Real Estate and Acadia Realty Trust.
Linq Promenade got a bump when it snagged In-N-Out as a tenant. It’s unknown whether Bojangles will have the same effect.
We hope they’ll be merciful with the pricing. You know, tender mercies.
