  • All roads lead to Bruno Mars at Park MGM
  • Hillary Duff will hold a Valentine’s Day love-in at Venetian
  • Phish and the B-52s will resume their respective Vegas residencies

Based on a Clark County permit filing sleuthed by the “Five Hundy By Midnight” podcast, MGM Resorts has applied to change a portion of Park Avenue, the street leading into Park MGM, to Bruno Mars Drive.

Mars has had the longest-running residency at Park MGM — so long that when it began in December 2016, Dolby Live was called the Park Theater. His residency has so far grossed over $124.5 million, which is the answer to the question: “How much does it cost to have MGM Resorts name a street after you?”

Mars returns to Dolby Live December 30-31, which is where we’d place our money on when the street will be renamed — if it’s approved.

Hilary Will be Your Valentine’s Date

Hilary Duff will perform at the Voltaire at the Venetian from February 13-15. The shows will close out her “Small Rooms, Big Nerves” tour, which begins in January and marks her first concerts in more than a decade.

Duff, 38, announced the new dates on Instagram with a cheeky caption that reads, “hey girls… how bout Vegas? ✨”

Early access presale for the Las Vegas shows begins at 10 a.m. PT Wednesday, December 3, with the public onsale at 3 p.m. PT via voltairelv.com.

As predicted, Phish will return to the Sphere for more dates. (Acts don’t usually perform only four shows in a venue requiring a $10 million custom video production.)

The resumption of their April 2024 residency, two full years later, seems a little late, but Phishheads are quick to forgive.

Tickets for April 16, 17, 18, 23, 24, 25, and 30, plus May 1-2. go on sale at 10 a.m. PT Friday, December 12 via Ticketmaster, with ticket presales signups at tickets.phish.com.

The B-52s, who ended their “Final Tour Ever of Planet Earth Tour” in January 2023. resume their residency at The Venetian Theatre on April 22, 24, and 25, 2026. (They never claimed it was their final residency on Planet Earth!)

Founding members of the party band Fred Schneider, Kate Pierson, and Cindy Wilson are still all aboard.

Tickets go on sale to the general public at 10 a.m. PT Friday, December 5 via Ticketmaster.

Country Music Awards Returning

The Academy of Country Music (ACM) Awards, once a Strip staple, is returning to the MGM Grand Garden Arena for its 61st ceremony on Sunday, May 17, after three years at the Ford Center in Frisco, Texas.

For the fourth consecutive year, the ceremony will stream live on Amazon Prime Video and the Amazon Music channel on Twitch.

ACM Awards Week in Vegas will begin on May 15, with tickets available in early 2026.

Sand Runs Out

The Sand Dollar Downtown, the sister venue to the original Sand Dollar that opened at the Plaza in May 2022, will close on December 14. It hasn’t hosted any live entertainment since the variety show “Mavericks” closed there on July 27.

A statement from the venue read: We are deeply grateful to our guests, staff, and community for their support of this location.”

According to Vital Vegas, the boisterous, beloved, and evicted Hogs & Heifers may move into the space for a six-month pop-up while its second location continues to be built.

The original Sand Dollar, at 3355 Spring Mountain Road in Chinatown since 1976, will remain open.
