  • Reports suggest Adele fans could expect a documentary about her Caesars Palace residency
  • Widespread Panic will overtake Vegas in May
  • Could The Sphere be getting Spicy?

There were never any public declarations of a documentary being shot, either from Adele or Caesars Palace, but the British superstar is apparently sitting on a trove of on-stage and behind-the-scenes footage from her Las Vegas concert residency, and Hollywood is already interested.

According to The Sun, checkbooks are already opening for the “Weekends With Adele” footage, since she self-financed it instead of inking with a streaming service or movie studio beforehand.

The British tabloid reports that the footage includes “everything from rehearsals to the superstar’s pre-show backstage rituals and of course, the singer cracking jokes to anyone who will listen.”

A full concert docuseries is off the cards for now,” The Sun quotes an unnamed source as saying, “but the thinking is the footage could be weaved into a wider project.”

Adele performed 100 shows at the Colosseum after delaying the start of her residency for 10 months because half her crew contracted COVID-19. Presumably, whatever project results from the footage will cover this dramatic time.

The singer canceled opening night less than 24 hours before it was set to begin on Jan. 21, 2022, when thousands of her biggest fans had already flown to Sin City from all around the world. Their idol delivered the devastating news in a tearful Instagram video, apologizing and claiming that the show “ain’t ready” because COVID delays “absolutely destroyed” the production.

Spread Rise Again

Widespread Panic announced Tuesday that it will return to Las Vegas for a three‑night stand at The Theater at Virgin Hotels Las Vegas, from May 8–10, 2026.

The run marks the Southern jam band’s first Vegas appearances in more than three years. Panic had been slated to play the same venue in 2024, but those shows were canceled after Jimmy Herring was diagnosed with Stage 1 tonsil cancer. With the guitarist fully back in the fold, the 2026 shows land as a long‑awaited, victory‑lap‑style comeback.

The timing also places the run less than a week after Phish wraps its Sphere residency on May 2, setting up what could easily become a peak‑era jam‑band pilgrimage week in Sin City.

Presales through Amex, the venue, and JamBase begin 10 am PT Wednesday, January 7, with three‑day passes available. A general on‑sale follows on at 10 am PT Friday, May 9 via AXS.com.

Sphere-iously Speculative

AJ McLean of the Backstreet Boys made some headlines by telling Billboard News he thought the Spice Girls would be a good next candidate for the Sphere.

“Hell yes!” he enthused.

Of course, McLean said it while answering a question posed by Melanie “Mel C” Chisolm (aka Sporty Spice) herself. It remains to be seen if enough other people ask the same question.

Fully Ill

More reliable news coming out of the Sphere is the full lineup for “Odyssey,”  Illenium’s upcoming first residency at the globular wonder. The superstar DJ/producer’s nine EDM shows this spring will pair him with the following special guests:

March 6: Dab The Sky (the collaborative alias of Dabin and Said The Sky)
March 6: Wooli
March 12: Levity
March 13: Audien
March 14: Ray Volpe
April 2: Slander
April 3: DJ Diesel
April 4: Tape B

Tickets are still available at Illenium’s website.
