- Saskatchewan Indian Gaming Authority (SIGA) reports record net income
- SIGA operates seven casinos and gaming website PlayNow.com
It’s been a record-breaking year on the gaming front in Saskatchewan, according to the 2024-2025 annual report issued by the Saskatchewan Indian Gaming Authority (SIGA).

SIGA is reporting CA$378 million in gross revenue for the 2024-25 fiscal year (April 1, 2024-March 31, 2025), and net income of CA$146 million.
SIGA said in a statement that it’s the third consecutive year of record profits. Net income in the previous fiscal year was CA$139 million.
SIGA was launched in 1996 and operates seven casinos in the province that offer slot machines, live table games, electronic table games, live entertainment, and an array of lounges and restaurants. It also operates the online gaming website PlayNow.com. The seven casinos are Dakota Dunes Casino, Bear Claw Casino & Hotel, Painted Hand Casino, Gold Horse Casino, Northern Lights Casino, Living Sky Casino, and Gold Eagle Casino.
Profits Invested Back Into Community
Like with other Canadian provinces other than Ontario, and soon, Alberta, PlayNow.com is the only legally operated online gaming and sports betting site in Saskatchewan.
Casino net revenue is redistributed. Fifty percent goes to the First Nations Trust (which is distributed to the 74 First Nations in the province), and 25% to Community Development Corporations (CDCs) which reinvests the money back into local community initiatives. The remaining 25% goes to the provincial General Revenue Fund.
“SIGA has successfully built itself back to strength post-pandemic and is making investments into its future with the strong growth of its PlayNow.com platform and enhancements to our land-based casinos, ensuring we remain top entertainment destinations in the province,” said SIGA President & CEO Zane Hansen.
Casino Expansion
Several casinos are currently undergoing expansions. Dakota Dunes is ramping up for a 12K-square-foot expansion, and Northern Lights Casino is planning a 30K-square-foot expansion.
