Rapper Offset Shot, Injured at Seminole Hard Rock Hollywood

Atlanta rapper Offset was shot Monday, just moments after he was seen posing for pictures with fans at the Seminole Hard Rock Hollywood, near Fort Lauderdale, Fla. The 34-year-old, real name Kiari Kendrell Cephus, was transported to the Memorial Regional Hospital in Hollywood, where he is described as being in a stable condition.
Seminole Regional Police said in a statement: “We are aware of an incident that occurred at a valet area after 7 p.m. Monday outside of Seminole Hard Rock Hollywood that resulted in non-life-threatening injuries to an individual … Seminole Police were on site immediately, and the situation was contained quickly.
“The investigation is ongoing. The site is secure, and there is no threat to the public. Operations continue as normal,” authorities added.
Lil Tjay Not Involved
It’s unclear who the shooter was, though police say two individuals were detained at the scene. Video posted to social media allegedly taken at the Hard Rock Hotel after the shooting showed police officers attempting to restrain two men. The footage could not be independently verified.
Reports that another rapper, Lil Tjay, was involved and was also shot have been described as false by Lil Tjay’s attorney. The two stars have feuded in the past.
We are issuing this release in regards to false rumors that Lil Tjay was involved in a shooting which occurred at the Valet Area of the Seminole Hard Rock Hollywood which resulted in non-life-threatening injuries to Offset, formerly a member of Migos.
“Lil Tjay has not been shot, nor has Lil Tjay been charged with any shooting. Any reporting to the contrary is false.”
Marriage to Cardi B
Offset is best known for his work with influential hip-hop trio Migos and for his seven-year marriage to Cardi B. The couple, who have three children together, separated in 2024 amid claims of infidelity and are currently going through a divorce.
Multi-platinum-selling Migos exploded onto the scene in 2013 with their first single, Versace. 2016’s Bad and Boujee made it to number one on the Billboard Hot 100.
The trio split in early 2022, and Offset embarked on a solo career, while the other two members, Quavo and Takeoff, later performed as the duo Unc & Phew.
In November 2022, Takeoff was shot dead during an altercation after a party at a bowling alley in Houston. His death sparked debate about the ideology of violence in hip-hop.
