Martha Stewart is readying her first restaurant on the East Coast. It will debut at Foxwoods Resort Casino, the Connecticut tribal destination that’s owned and operated by the Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation.
After opening The Bedford by Martha Stewart in Las Vegas at Caesars Entertainment’s Paris in August 2022, the lifestyle icon is setting the table for a similar restaurant at Foxwoods. The tribal casino says The Bedford by Martha Stewart will open its doors to the public on Saturday, March 14, with reservations now being accepted.
The Bedford is inspired by Stewart’s 1925 country farmhouse in New York. The restaurant showcases some of her most celebrated dishes, along with her love of entertaining and decorating.
This is Martha Stewart’s second restaurant and her first on the East Coast, bringing her celebrated style and hospitality to Foxwoods. Located in the heart of the Grand Pequot Tower, The Bedford by Martha Stewart is more than just a restaurant — it’s a taste of Martha’s world, brought to life,” a Foxwoods release promoted.
Notable dishes include a classic niçoise salad, pierogies, and Kurobuta pork chops. The restaurant will be open seven days a week, with breakfast and lunch served on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays.
Foxwoods Expansion
The Bedford by Martha Stewart coincides with a $385 million expansion of Foxwoods Resort Casino, celebrating the tribal complex’s 30th anniversary. Announced in 2022, $85 million was invested to open a new 50K-square-foot casino called the Pequot Woodlands and a celebrity restaurant space.
The Bedford spans about 13K square feet. Stewart’s Foxwoods eatery is already sold out for the March 14 opening. The only times for Sunday begin at 9 pm. More reasonable dining times, from 5 pm through 7:15, are currently available for Monday, March 16.
The bulk of the 30th anniversary investment dealt with constructing the resort’s adjoining Great Wolf Lodge. The $300 million resort opened last May.
The 549-room lodge includes an indoor Water Park and Adventure Park, along with eight restaurants and 7,000 square feet of meeting space.
