- Gavin Caci, a self-described Las Vegas club promoter with Tao Group Hospitality, is charged with DUI and fleeing the scene of an accident after striking a family of three visiting from the UK near the Strip
- A mother and her two-year-old daughter remain in critical condition with “potentially life-threatening” injuries
- Caci was arrested at Topgolf, after a witness followed his fleeing 2026 Tesla
A catastrophic hit-and-run near the Las Vegas Strip on Super Bowl Sunday has left a visiting family from the United Kingdom shattered. Gavin Caci, a 28-year-old Las Vegas resident, stands accused of striking a mother and her toddler with his vehicle before fleeing the scene. Caci’s Linkedin page lists him as a VIP nightclub liaison and host with Tao Group Hospitality.

At approximately 7:35 p.m. on February 8, 2026, according to Las Vegas police, Caci crashed his grey 2026 Tesla Model Y into the rear of a Chevrolet Trax driven by Yurdenia Velazco-Hernandez, a 35-year-old Las Vegas resident who was stopped at a red light near Harmon Avenue and Audrie Lane.
The force of the collision redirected Caci’s Tesla onto the south sidewalk lining eastbound Harmon, where it struck a family of three visiting from the United Kingdom and waiting to cross the street.
An unidentified 43-year-old woman, and the two-year-old girl she was pushing in her stroller, are both in critical condition at University Medical Center with brain bleeds. The toddler also suffered “life-threatening” skull fractures, and police say that EMS had to initiate “life-saving” measures on scene.
The toddler’s 38-year-old father and Velazco-Hernandez suffered only minor injuries.
Caci, the only person involved who was not physically harmed, fled the scene but was followed by a witness to the nearby Topgolf parking lot at 4627 Koval Lane. Here, he was arrested by Las Vegas police, who reported that he “showed signs of impairment.”
Caci faces:
- Two counts of DUI resulting in substantial bodily harm
- Two counts of reckless driving
- Four counts of failing to stop at the scene of an accident
During a Monday morning court hearing, Caci was ordered held without bail. His defense team was granted a continuance to review the evidence, and his next appearance is scheduled for Wednesday, February 11, 2026.

It’s murder, scum bag deserves a high level prison for at least 35 years .
Pull out his fingernails. Then throw them in with the general population in prison and say he was a child molester.
He was clearly working for Tao, and it’s important to note that employees are required to go out and drink as part of their job. Therefore, Tao should be held responsible.
