- Loto-Québec posts financial results halfway through 2025-26 fiscal year
- Total revenues reach CAD $1.532 billion, up year-over-year by $27.6 million
- Hotel project on Casino de Montreal “progressing”
Loto-Québec is out with its financial results halfway through the 2025-26 Fiscal Year (April 1 to Sept. 29,2025) – total revenues reaching CAD $1.532 billion, with consolidated net income at CAD $777.5 million, a year-over-year increase of $27.6 million (1.8%) and $6.2 million (0.8%), respectively.

“I’m proud of our performance, which was delivered in a complex economic context and maintains an upward trend,” said Jean-François Bergeron, Loto-Québec’s President and CEO. “We succeeded through our ongoing commitment to sound management and our teams’ excellent work.
“We’re well-positioned to meet our annual net income target. Building on these positive results and driven by our initiatives underway, we head into the second half of the year with confidence and determination.”
Total Revenues and Net Income Increases
Casinos and gaming halls accounted for CAD $657.4 million of total revenues, lottery games came in at CAD $467.4 million, and gaming establishments totalled CAD $417.9 million. For clarity, according to a Loto-Québec spokesperson, “gaming establishments” refers to games offered outside thrown buildings – sports betting, video lottery terminals in bars, as well as bingo and Kinzo halls.
While the land-based casino industry is experiencing reduced momentum, our casinos and gaming halls are progressing, both online and on-site. This shows that our varied entertainment options appeal to our customers,” said Bergeron.
$50M Split 14 Ways
Some of the highlights from the year so far that Loto-Québec referenced was the crowning of 70 lottery millionaires since the fiscal year began, including 14 residents in the small Basse-Côte-Nord community winning the $50 million Lotto Max jackpot during the summer quarter.
The hotel project at Casino de Montreal is “progressing”, in terms of design and preparatory work, and construction on the Rimouski gaming hall is also moving forward. Earlier this month, the corporation announced the opening of a fourth gaming hall, to be located in Saguenay.
Quebec Coalition Reaction
The Quebec Online Gaming Coalition, committed to working with the Quebec government and local stakeholders to develop an Ontario-style regulatory framework for the province, competing with Loto-Québec (the only legal entity for online gaming in the province), weighed in with this reaction to the financial statement:
Loto-Québec claims to control about 50% of Quebec’s online gaming market, yet its financial statements do not disclose any specific figures for its online gaming revenues,” said Annick Bergevin, Coalition spokesperson. “Without hard numbers, this claim cannot be verified, nor can the public assess whether that market share is growing or declining. These are legitimate questions that Quebec taxpayers are entitled to get answers for when trying to evaluate Loto-Québec’s performance in the online gaming sector.”
