Our top five recommendations are firm favourites among both our editors and readers. Check out the highlights in the mini reviews below:
Jackpot City Casino - best all-rounder with our highest rating

✅ No minimum threshold for withdrawals (usually around $20)
✅ Enjoy high $20k stakes betting on live roulette
✅ Play wherever you are via free iOS and Android apps
❌ Limited games collection vs. sites like Bassbet and SG Casino
💡 Jemma's take: "Jackpot City provides a perfect combination of a well-above-average 98.64% win rate across the site and average payout speeds within 48 hours (that's way faster than the industry average of up to five days). I've noticed on Trustpilot there's some noise around Jackpot City's honouring of winning funds. However, in my experience, it pays out at a good rate with prompt processing times. Just make sure you verify your account and stick to your wagering requirements, as this seems to be the root of most problems."

Grizzly's Quest - best for lowest minimum deposit at $5

✅ Deposit as little as $5 with Interac, Visa, or Mastercard
✅ Hourly prize drops and daily bonus wheel for free spins, loyalty points, and credit
✅ Play 2,000+ games, including 100+ jackpots
❌ No slot tournaments, unlike at Millioner casino
💡 Jemma's take: "I love the low deposit threshold at Grizzly's Quest. It also has great free spins offers on $1 and $5 deposits on popular games like Wolf Blaze Megaways, making it an ideal choice for low-stakes, casual players. I enjoyed the live casino tables and spotted jackpots reaching up to $9.5 million. While I'd like to see Grizzly's Quest launch slot tournaments soon, I really enjoyed their hourly prize drops (spotted one at $600) since they're easy to claim. Try out the bonus wheel, which resets every four hours, and check out the weekly Mega Prize Drop with a $50,000 prize pool."
Wyns - best for 24/7 live-dealer tables

✅ Join 270+ live casino tables, covering multiple variants and stake ranges
✅ Earn coins as you play and redeem them for extra cash, spins, or credit
✅ Claim up to $4,800 every week on your losses
❌ Visa isn't supported, unlike at Jackpot City and Grizzly's Quest
💡 Jemma's take: “Besides thousands of slots and a decent video table game collection, I really enjoyed Wyns' live casino lobby. I found international tables, various Live88 blackjack and roulette variants, and both low-stakes and high-stakes tables. Beyond that, there are plenty of gameshows, around 10 poker tables, and niche games like Dragon Tiger or Teen Patti. What I really liked is the chance to claim back $4,500 in losses, and that's outside the 25% cashback on live tables. Plus, you'll earn coins with every deposit and game you play. You can then redeem these in the online shop for extra rewards, which is a nice extra."
Flamez - best for daily cashback offers

✅ Get up to 20% of net losses back daily
✅ $100,000 monthly payout limits
✅ Over 120 three-tiered Lotsaloot jackpot slots
❌ No crypto payments accepted, unlike at MafiaCasino
💡 Jemma's take: "I'm a big fan of the daily cashback promotion. Many sites have weekly and monthly offers like this, but it's rare to see a casino in Canada giving you money back every day. But what stood out to me were the jackpot slots, especially the progressives, which are my favourite games. There are well over 100 Lotsaloot slots, an innovative jackpot product launched by Games Global in 2025. You can win smaller, consistent jackpots, but there's also the chance to win big. It's great to see Lotsaloot games at Flamez."
MafiaCasino - best for quality slots with 7,900+ titles

✅ Over 9,000 titles available, beating Wyns and Millioner
✅ Earn coins by completing weekly and special challenges
✅ Its 98.89% win rate is the highest we've ever come across
❌ 40x wagering requirements on free spins is above average
💡 Jemma's take: “This stylish, game-packed site offers a well-curated selection of over 7,900 slots, 65 exclusive games, and more than 450 live games from top providers like Play'n GO and Hacksaw. Here I got enough variety and quality rolled into one. Features like the Bonus Crab, weekly challenges, and coin rewards add extra fun to the experience. When I tested the platform, I really enjoyed the fluidity of the gameplay and the speed of bonus coin accumulation. Just keep in mind the free spins wagering is high (40x), so it's not for quick wins. That said, the recently-revised 35x requirement on the deposit match is actually pretty decent."

Our recommended payment methods
"For instant withdrawals, I find I’m always best off with bitcoin and e-wallets, but your casino’s withdrawal processing time also plays a role. My withdrawal requests were approved in seconds when I tested faster sites like MafiaCasino. Large withdrawals can take up to three days to be processed, with 24 hours being the standard."
What's legal in your province?
Every Canadian province has its own regulations, which is why we’ve created dedicated pages for each one of them. If you’re in a French-speaking province, check out our casino en ligne page. Looking for land-based venues? We cover that too in our local casinos guide.
"Offshore casinos have headquarters somewhere other than Canada. It might sound odd, but it's a common and legal practice around the world. I play on these sites and know that they are safe thanks to the licences they hold. We only recommend secure casinos that pass our stringent checks."

We keep our eyes out for any interesting news to share with you. Here are the latest updates happening in the Canadian casino market:
- iGaming Ontario announces record $8.5 million in wagers for September.
- The AGCO continues to investigate businesses operating unlawful gaming machines. More than 50 have been removed for being falsely advertised as games of skill.
- The OLG will not be renewing the lease for Gateway Casino Sarnia. Casino operations there will be closed by March 2026.
- Ganadu's Flamez is one of the latest casinos to become available to CA players. Licensed by the Kahnawake Gaming Commission, it's home to 4,000 slots and table games.
- Golden Nugget Online Casino debuts in Ontario with 2,000+ slots, table games, and exclusive DraftKings titles. Ontario becomes the 5th regulated market after MI, NJ, PA, and WV.
- The Atlantic Lottery Corporation aims to reclaim 50% of the online gambling market in the Atlantic provinces as part of its 5-year plan to boost player protection and regional revenue.
- Ontario operators no longer need AGCO approval for responsible gambling training, giving them more freedom to design programs as long as standards are met.
- Ontario hit record iGaming revenue of $338M in May, with $8.07B in total wagers. Online casinos led with 77% of revenue.
- Alberta will model its fully regulated market on Ontario’s framework when it launches in early 2026, confirmed Dale Nally, Minister of Service Alberta and Red Tape Reduction.
- iGO becomes a standalone agency as the iGaming Ontario Act comes into force. It's now affiliated with the Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Gaming — ending its ties to the AGCO. iGO continues to license gambling sites across ON.
- Alberta moves a step closer to following Ontario's online gambling model as Bill 48 passes its third reading. The iGaming Alberta Act now just needs Royal Assent to officially become law. The new fully-regulated market will launch in early 2026.
- Alberta lawmakers start the process of considering amendments to Bill 48. However, a proposal to enshrine responsible gambling measures in law was voted down. This means the AGLC will monitor responsible gambling measures as regulator.
- iGO stats show gamblers wagered $82.7 billion across the Ontario's market's third regulated year. That represents a 31% uplift on the previous 12 months. However, 20.2% of players at regulated sites still use non-regulated platforms.
- Alberta's iGaming act moved to the next stage after passing a second reading. Committee members will now review it clause by clause and consider amendments. It'll then go to a third reading and further debate.
- Ontario celebrates the third anniversary of launching its fully-regulated online gambling market. iGO now regulates sites from 49 privately-owned operators, while the province-run OLG.ca remains a solid option for players.
- AB takes a key step towards creating a fully-regulated online gambling market by introducing Bill 48. Dale Nally, Minister of Service Alberta and Red Tape Reduction, believes it will create a healthier, safer market.
- Alberta pushes back plans to launch a new regulated market with privately-owned gambling operators to Q1 of 2026. A senior industry source told us: "They want to do it right, take all the steps."
- British slots developer Blueprint Gaming launch in Ontario, via BetRivers. As such, Canadian casino players can enjoy a wide range of Megaways slots and branded titles.
- A study links the expansion of iGaming in Ontario and related advertising to an increase in gambling problems, with calls to gambling helplines doubling after legalization. Alberta could face similar risks if proactive regulations aren't implemented.
"Besides keeping tabs on new casino sites, I also pay close attention to regulatory changes. One of the things that's on my radar is the situation in Alberta, which is expected to follow in Ontario's footsteps in 2026."
How we rate casinos in Canada
Players have trusted our opinions for over 30 years thanks to our robust 25-step casino review process. Here we outline some of the factors that go into our rating system, so you know you can play with peace of mind.
Security
For top casinos, we expect to see sites owned by known leaders in the industry, like Baytree Interactive Limited, which operates Jackpot City in Canada.
Organizations like the Kahnawake Gaming Commission (KGC) and the Malta Gaming Authority (MGA) should also regulate the site for fair games and legal operation.
🤔 Author insight: eCOGRA is an independent auditor. Casinos are not obliged to join, but it is a big mark of trust if they do.

Welcome bonuses
Comparing bonuses makes it easy to spot where there is true value. The BigClash welcome bonus may appear lower than Millioner's but it only requires a single $30 deposit to unlock and the 35x wagering also meets the industry average. Millioner's full offer requires three $30 deposits.
On the other hand, LuckyWins provides five 100% deposit matches up to $8,000, but with a higher 40x turnover. This is the sort of thing we take into account so that our ratings can help you make the most informed decision.
🤔 Author insight: You might also get free spins as part of a welcome bonus, but do bear in mind these will be subject to wagering too.
Regular promotions
Millioner regularly has six or more promotions alongside a high-value welcome bonus. The terms are clear and simple, providing you with a good chance of winning some cash. Tooniebet's terms are also clear, though there are fewer ongoing promotions.
Some online casinos also run VIP programs, with Grizzly's Quest offering daily rewards. We look for sites that go the extra mile for you so you can maximize your bankroll.
🤔 Author insight: Cashback promotions (like the ones at Wyns) return based on your net losses, not your net spend.
Game variety
In Canada, the competition is fierce, with the average games lobby as high as 3,000 games. To rate them, we look at the quality, quantity, and the payout rate.
Bassbet, for example, provides you with 7,000 games. It collaborates with over 60 providers, including major names like Spinomenal, Playtech, and Play'n GO. These contribute to a hefty 98.52% win rate.
🤔 Author insight: I like to see 100+ table game titles alongside slots, jackpot slots, and progressive jackpot games too.
Mobile experience
Our highest-scoring operators have casino apps or iOS and Android, with a 4.0 and above rating out of five from players in the app stores. There should also be a seamless experience between the site and the app, with at least 95% of the casino's games available on the apps. Neon54 doesn't offer a dedicated app, but the mobile web version of the site is fantastic.
🤔 Author insight: All CA casinos I've reviewed offer a mobile experience. In many cases, I prefer the mobile web version since the app can take up quite a lot of storage.
Payment options
We'll rate a casino highly if it has 10 or more deposit and withdrawal options that are popular Canadian banking methods, including Interac, Visa/Mastercard, MuchBetter, and crypto.
We'd expect to see them process transactions instantly where possible, like at Cleobetra, and certainly within 24 hours. Some of our top sites have low minimum withdrawal fees - usually $10 or under, and free where possible.
🤔 Author insight: I tend to go for Interac, which is almost always an option. Some payment methods are not eligible for bonuses, but Interac is normally a safe bet.
Customer support
For an online casino to get a perfect score, we'd expect to see 24/7 live chat, contact form, email response, and a phoneline visible on the site. Most importantly, the response should be prompt, preferably within 30 minutes on live chat or a couple of hours by email, and be decisive in resolving the issue.
Final rating
View our recommended casinosBased on all of our factors, we give a casino an overall rating. This is how we define what ones we recommend. Our toplist is continuously updated as we regularly re-check sites. If a casino makes improvements, we're happy to adjust its score to reflect those changes.
