Salt Bae’s Nusr-Et Steakhouse Closes at The Park on The Strip
Nusr-Et Steakhouse has closed abruptly at The Park promenade between New York New York and Park MGM near T-Mobile Arena on the Las Vegas Strip.
Nusr-Et opened in Feb. 2022 following a huge investment in building out the beautiful space.
The restaurant was from butcher and chef Nusret Gokce (technically, Gökçe), the guy who salted meat off his forearm. It was a whole thing back in 2017. To this day it remains unclear if Gokce is in on the joke.

During a call to the restaurant to confirm its closure, we were told it’s closing for a “relocation.”
Yes, we’re putting “relocation” in quotation marks. TBD, as the kids say.
This is a rare case where a restaurant actually should relocate, as it serves a fantastic burger along with its two menus. One menu is for regular people, the other features various items covered with gold leaf at outrageous prices.
At one point we purchased gold leaf and put it on items we’d order at other restaurants just for the photos. We were going to write a story about “How to Save $10,000 Dining Out in Las Vegas.”

Seriously, we did this at several restaurants and got a lot of befuddled looks. Who’s befuddled now? These dishes are perfect for people who miss Nusr-Et!

It didn’t really matter how great the food (or how dramatic the salting and slicing) was at Nusr-Et Steakhouse, the location was challenging right out of the gate. There are only so many hockey games and concerts.
Thanks to our friend @LasVegasLocally for the tip about the closure of Nusr-Et.
We hope Salt Bae and his team can find another location for Nusr-Et Steakhouse, but it’s possible the concept’s time has come. Locations in Dallas and New York City have also shuttered.
Salt on the wound, you might say.
