Hunger Games: The Exhibition to Close at MGM Grand

Another Las Vegas attraction is set to close, Hunger Games: The Exhibition at MGM Grand.

The closure hasn’t been officially announced, but we have really good sources. The same source provided the scoop Avengers S.T.A.T.I.O.N. at TI would close, which it has. Next up for TI: Pirates, we’re told.

Avengers S.T.A.T.I.O.N. and Hunger Games: The Exhibition are operated by the same company, Victory Hill Exhibitions, part of Neon Global (formerly CityNeon Holdings).

Things are getting crazy with attractions shuttering in Vegas. You might say it’s Panemonium. Props to the three “Hunger Games” fans who got that joke.

Victory Hill will continue to lease the spaces at TI and MGM Grand, but they’ll host new attractions.

As mentioned, TI gets the TI-appropriate pirate attraction, and MGM Grand’s space will presumably retain its archery component, but will have another exhibit of some sort. The company has quite a few to choose from.

Established brands, expensive licensing. Not so much, not so much.

We took the liberty of suggesting Victory Hill merge two of its concepts into the best idea, ever.

Jurassic World, meh. Transformers, meh.

Jurassic World and Transformers together? Windfall!

We even created a rendering for the attraction’s most popular resident, Optimus Rex.

T-Rex arms are useless. We fixed them.

The possibilities are endless.

All we ask is 1% of the merch.

Anyway, we’ll share MGM Grand’s new attraction when we hear more specifics.

While the closure hasn’t been confirmed, ticket availability comes to an abrupt halt after March 31, 2023.

There’s still some time for you to swing by and make fun of the name Coriolanus Snow.

Hunger Games: The Exhibition opened in 2019 with the requisite hoopla.

The attraction featured what was touted as a world record for the “World’s Largest Interactive Touchscreen Display.” (That’s the part they’re keeping, according to our source.)

Did you actually think we’d miss an opportunity to have A.I. create an image of Katniss playing slot machines? Do you know this blog at all?

The attraction featured costumes, props and other set recreations from the movie franchise. The opening night of the Hunger Games attraction drew Las Vegas luminaries, specifically, us.

Nothing lasts forever, especially in Las Vegas. We are personally available to console Jennifer Lawrence during this difficult time.
