Confirmed: Stripburger to Close at Fashion Show Mall

Our first visit to Stripburger, a restaurant that’s been on The Strip for 16 years, was to be our last.

We loved it, though. Not just because of the great food, but also because we got some scoop. You know how we are.

Stripburger
Farewell, Stripburger, we hardly knew ye.

Way back in Jan. 2022, we  exclusively shared word the restaurant would close. A staff member said the restaurant could close as soon as July of last year. The date didn’t hold, but the sad trombone part did.

Stripburger & Chicken’s last day of operation will be April 3, 2023.

During our visit, the source also said the adjoining Mexican restaurant, El Segundo Sol (previously Cafe Ba Ba Reeba), would expand into the shuttered Stripburger. It appears those plans have changed as well.

The operator of El Segundo Sol and Stripburger, Lettuce Entertain You, says it will debut a new restaurant in the space in fall of 2023.

We have our fingers crossed for a Parm Planet, which isn’t a thing, but it damn well should be.

The burger were legit, as the kids say. Yes, we took everything off but the bacon. Don’t judge.

We love when our scoop pans out, but are less thrilled when it involves the closure of a good restaurant.

On the bright side, in this case, it’s unlikely anyone’s losing their job due to the closure. Positions should be integrated into El Segundo Sol or other Lettuce Entertain You restaurants on The Strip.

They’re the folks behind Mon Ami Gabi and Eiffel Tower Restaurant at Paris, RPM at Forum Shops and possibly our favorite steakhouse in the world, Joe’s Seafood, Prime Steak & Stone Crab at Forum Shops.

There’s a short time left to visit Stripburger for old times’ sake.

Those adult shakes aren’t going to suck themselves.
