Clique Bar & Lounge at Cosmo to Close for Renovation
The swanky lounge at Cosmopolitan, Clique Bar & Lounge, will close for a full remodel on May 1, 2025.
The popular lounge is getting a complete makeover from award-winning designer Peter Max Bowden and the team at Petermax Co., whomever they might actually be.
The renovation will be completed by early fall unless tariffs drive up the price of machines that create smoke inside of bubbles made of cotton candy, then they’re screwed. Because cocktail presentations are over the top, in case that wasn’t clear.

That’s sort of the whole story, but we’re going to fluff it up just to make it look like we did something other than cut-and-paste from a news release.
In that spirit, here’s some text from the news release: “The renovation, set to be completed in early fall, will mark a new chapter for CliQue, which has been a staple at The Cosmopolitan since its opening in 2015. Renowned for their captivating aesthetic and attention to detail, Bowden and his team will transform CliQue into a stylish new destination for sipping cocktails and socializing. The redesign will reimagine the lounge’s identity and charm while preserving the essence of what made CliQue a mainstay of Las Vegas nightlife. The visionary design team at Petermax is also behind the recently debuted Amaya Modern Mexican, a new restaurant by Clique Hospitality for Gen3 Hospitality at The Cosmopolitan.”
Yes, they write Clique as “CliQue,” an affectation up with which we will not put.
It’s like they’re trying to say “Clique,” but accidentally stub their toe on a nightstand.
We haven’t tried Amaya Modern Mexican yet, but it is in the former Holstein’s space at Cosmopolitan.
Clique Hospitality operates a number of venues across Las Vegas resorts and casinos, including Amaya. They have Caspian’s at Caesars Palace, Daylight Beach Club at Mandalay Bay, Mijo, Bel-Aire Lounge, Bel-Aire Backyard, and Wax Rabbit at Durango Casino, Rouge Room at Red Rock Resort, Gatsby’s at Resorts World, Proper Eats and Easy’s Cocktail Lounge at Aria, Bottiglia and Borracha at Green Valley Ranch and Barbershop Cuts & Cocktails at The Cosmopolitan, as well as Tailgate Social at Palace Station.
We left out anything involving cigars, of course.
Enjoy this world premiere of a song we made for you. We can't stop singing it and hope you do not have the same experience, probably. pic.twitter.com/f0BKdxYJWj

Peter Max Bowden did the interior design for Amaya, Javier’s at Aria and elsewhere, dLena & Roja in Washington, D.C., Powder Room in Austin, Texas and Wren & Wolf in Phoenix, Arizona, all of which we knew about before asking Google due to our expansive knowledge of experiential alchemy in haute hospitality aesthetics, brand mythmaking and immersive conceptual architecture, definitely.
We asked A.I. to create a lounge build entirely of packing peanuts.

Thankfully, Cosmo has myriad options for drinking and socializing when Clique closes for its renovation.
Our favorite is probably Chandelier bar. It’s pretty and there’s video poker.
The Cosmopolitan also has Vesper Bar, Ghost Donkey, Ski Lodge, Barbershop Cuts & Cocktails and the sportsbook lounge people sometimes visit if they lose a bet. Because of the sports. Please keep up.
We thought Clique was already very fancy, but apparently there’s been some wear and tear (and possibly declining business levels), so a renovation is what the doctor ordered. We look forward to checking it out.
