Alanis Morissette Announces Eight Dates at Caesars Palace
Alanis Morissette, a wildly popular singer in the 1990s, has announced a brief, eight-date residency at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace.
This is Morissette’s first Las Vegas residency and while it’s unclear if the Grammy-winning singer is still furious at men, the whole “Would you prefer to encounter a man or a bear in the woods?” cultural climate could mean it’s the perfect time for a Las Vegas run.
Show dates: Oct. 15, 17, 18, 22, 24, 25 and Nov. 1-2, 20125.

The official residency announcement says, “After nearly selling out all of her U.K. and Ireland tour dates, Alanis also shares the news of a London show July 27 at The O2 as an incredible final stop on the European leg of her tour.”
Nothing screams success like “nearly selling out.”
Morissette spent much of 2024 touring with Joan Jett and the Blackhearts and Morgan Wade, whomever that might be.
Alanis Morissette, of course, is a Canadian singer-songwriter known for her deeply personal lyrics, unique vocal style and for shaming actor Dave Coulier (“Full House”) for being a dick to her.
Morissette skyrocketed to fame in the ’90s with her breakthrough album “Jagged Little Pill.” The album’s hits included “You Oughta Know,” “Ironic,” “You Learn” and “Head Over Feet.”
The album became a defining piece of ’90s alternative rock and sold more than 30 million copies worldwide.
Pickings have been a tad slim at the Colosseum following the end of Adele’s residency. Here’s the official Colosseum Web page.
Kelly Clarkson has 18 shows scheduled in 2025. Garth Brooks has four shows booked. Rod Stewart has 13 shows planned for March to June 2025.
That’s a lot of open dates at the Colosseum.
Things have slowed down quite a bit since the departure of Caesars Entertainment’s former President of Entertainment, Jason Gastwirth. The rumor is Gastwirth was nudged out after internal reviews revealed some questionable contractual arrangements (casino executives don’t typically get a piece of the action when acts are signed for residencies, for example). Nothing illegal as far as we know, but just unusual and up with which Caesars was no longer willing to put.
Following Jason Gastwirth’s exit as Caesars Ent. President of Entertainment, major shake-up (“restructuring”) happening in the company’s entertainment division—emblematic of the evolution of the casino entertainment landscape, largely unreported as Las Vegas has no entertainment…

While Alanis Morissette is a bit of a question mark in terms of pulling power, her audience is perfect for Caesars Palace. They are older and have disposable income for rooms, gambling, restaurants and other resort amenities.
Alanis Morissette’s mini-residency will be one to watch in 2025, mostly because we couldn’t think of another way to end this story and nobody reads this far, anyway, so screw it.
