LPM Restaurant & Bar to Close at Cosmopolitan

MGM Resorts has confirmed LPM Restaurant & Bar will close at Cosmo on March 29, 2026.

The French-Mediterranean restaurant opened at Cosmopolitan in November 2023. Yes, it’s as awkward as it sounds. Big investment, bigger whiff. Before LPM, Estiatorio Milos occupied the space.

“LPM” stands for “La Petite Maison,” a love nest maintained for a side piece, as our fellow youths refer to them.

The attempt to cover up the fact LPM served French food by calling it “French-Mediterranean” clearly failed.

Here’s how LPM is described on the official Web site: “LPM is an exploration of the French Riviera, coastal Italy, and the shores of the Mediterranean. Featuring vibrant offerings including fresh seafood, mouthwatering steaks, handmade pastas, plus unforgettable brunch specialties—all available a la carte or as part of our dinner and brunch tasting menus. Complementing the exquisite cuisine is our signature cocktail program, Jean Cocteau—Recipes for our Friends, an extensive wine list, and elevated mocktails, offering something for every palate. Each dish and drink at LPM is crafted to deliver an unforgettable and one-of-a-kind culinary experience.”

We aren’t sure they were using “one-of-a-kind” correctly there, as there are a good number of LPM locations in exotic locations like Hong Kong, Abu Dhabi, Mykonos, the Maldives, Kuwait and Limassol, wherever the hell that might be.

Confirmation of the closure of LPM follows on the heels of our Tweet hinting the restaurant’s days were numbered.

Before you get all worked up about how we’re sharing news before staff has even been informed, that’s misguided, because where do you think we get our scoop?

Our rumor just sped up the announcement a little. Don’t shoot the messenger.

No plans for the space have been announced, but we’ll take anything new to try and improve Cosmo’s largely forgettable dining options.

Superfrico’s about it. Slim pickings.

Presumably, MGM Resorts is freshening the options at Cosmopolitan. Blue Ribbon American Grill & Oyster Bar recently closed at the splashy Strip resort.

The bottom line is successful restaurants don’t close. Contributing factors: Labor and product costs are high, and visitation dropped 7.5% in 2025.

Plus LPM Restaurant & Bar is a terrible name. You have to tell people what the cuisine is. “Riviera-style” means exactly nothing to those of us who attended public school, unless you’re referring to the food court at the demolished Riviera, and that’s not an appealing reference, honestly.

We’re sure MGM Resorts has something great up its sleeves for the LPM space, because Las Vegas is always making shiny new things.

As with our love life, new restaurants benefit from low expectations.
