Snoop Dogg has entered the sweepstakes casino space. In a partnership with social iGaming technology provider Trivelta, the legendary West Coast hip-hop icon, who has become a part of Americana in recent decades, announced on Thursday the launch of the Dogg House Casino.

The Dogg House Casino is billed as a first-of-its-kind, artist-led casino experience that combines the thrill of online casino gambling with hip-hop music and culture. With a music playlist and interactive gaming environment curated by Snoop Dogg himself, the sweepstakes newcomer hopes to take a bite out of the innovative gaming market.

For the first time, players can step into a casino built exactly the way I wanted it,” said Snoop Dogg. “The music, the vibe, the games. I wanted something innovative, immersive, and fun. Trivelta worked with Death Row Games to help me bring that to life.”

The Dogg House Casino features original music, beats, and lyrics from Snoop Dogg Radio, with new track drops planned regularly. Players can customize their background music and access individual tracks, too.

Dogg Coins

Sweepstakes casinos claim to be free-to-play social casinos, but the use of a secondary digital currency, typically dubbed sweeps coins, allows players to gamble for cash.

Snoop’s sweepstakes casino follows the model. New users receive free Dogg Coins, which allow players to play for fun without financial risk. The Dogg House Casino also offers the purchase of Dogg Cash, which can be played and redeemed for cash.

“Sweepstakes are a popular promotional tool used by various companies to market their products,” the Dogg House Casino claims. “From airlines to food and beverage giants, many well-known brands leverage sweepstakes to engage consumers. Like these companies, Dogg House Casino uses sweepstakes and the chance to win real rewards to promote its thrilling social gaming platform.”

The Dogg House Casino claims it doesn’t accept deposits like real-money betting platforms. Players must purchase Dogg Coins to enter the sweepstakes games.

Instead, we have a dual-currency system: Dogg Coins for casual play and Dogg Cash for sweepstakes participation,” the website explains.

The Dogg House Casino, along with an abundance of Snoop-branded and themed slots, offers live-dealer table games for blackjack, roulette, baccarat, and craps. Snoop Dogg Poker allows players to compete for a chance to face off against Snoop himself.

New account registrations receive a 50% bonus on their first Dogg Cash purchase. Each day a user logs in, the sweepstakes casino will award them with one dollar in Dogg Cash and 1,000 Dogg Coins.

The Dog House Casino’s sweepstakes games aren’t accessible in California, Connecticut, Idaho, Louisiana, Maryland, Michigan, Montana, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, or Tennessee. Those states have banned sweepstakes casinos.

Sweepstakes Opposition

The heavily regulated gaming industry, represented by the American Gaming Association (AGA), opposes sweepstakes casinos on the grounds that they lack consumer safeguards like responsible gaming tools, the guarantee of fair odds, and that payouts will be executed. Sweepstakes casinos also aren’t taxed.

“These operators present themselves like legal, regulated platforms, but they operate outside the law and regulation,” said AGA Vice President of Government Relations Tres York. “There are few, if any, responsible gaming tools, no regulatory oversight, and no consumer protections. It’s a dangerous subterfuge that puts players at real risk.”
