- Caesars Atlantic City has filed plans to build and open a beach bar
- Caesars maintains just a 7% share of the Atlantic City casino market
Atlantic City continues to diversify its attractions with new amenities off the gaming floors. In the coming months, Caesars is prepping a lure that will entice many sunbathers and beachgoers.

The Press of Atlantic City was the first to report that Caesars Atlantic City has proposed amending its beach lease with the City of Atlantic City to allow the casino resort to build and operate a beach bar. The City Council approved Resolution 103 to amend Beach Lease Lot 25 during its Wednesday meeting.
Caesars desires to expand the use of Beach Lot 25 to include a beach bar by exercising the option in paragraph 4 of the lease, and needs to amend the current lease to permit the building of structures, adjust the times of operation and the rent, with [NJ Department of Community Affairs] approval, to be in line with the other beach bars,” the resolution reads.
Caesars is centrally located on the Atlantic City Boardwalk, just north of Jim Whelan Boardwalk Hall.
Beach Bums
With more than three miles of beach, the summer is the busiest season for Atlantic City and its nine casino resorts. In the warmer months, the resort hotels fill up, and the beach crowds.
For those wishing to enjoy an alcoholic beverage while on the beach, Atlantic City law requires that those drinks only be purchased from a licensed establishment “in or adjacent to the open container zone.” Drinks must be in an open, plastic container that bears the name and/or logo of the seller.
Currently, there are limited bar options on the Atlantic City beach. The LandShark Bar & Grill at Resorts is one lone watering hole that’s located on the sand. The Bungalow Beach Bar is another. Hard Rock previously ran a beach bar, but sand erosion has disrupted its operation. This summer, Caesars will join in on the beach bar business.
“City Council has determined that (the project) will improve Atlantic City as a tourism destination and desires that the lease agreement for Beach Lot 25 be amended to permit Caesars to construct and operate a beach bar,” the resolution explains.
Caesars Atlantic City could certainly use a new draw.
In 2025, Caesars generated in-person gaming revenue of $203.8 million. That ranked sixth among the nine casinos. Caesars holds just a 7% market share of the Atlantic City casino industry.
Through three quarters of 2025, the most recently disclosed quarter, Caesars Atlantic City reported a gross operating profit of $32.7 million. Gross profit reflects earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, amortization, charges from affiliates, and other miscellaneous items.
Caesars Atlantic City Rooms
Through nine months of 2025, Caesars’ 1,136 hotel rooms in Atlantic City were occupied 79.7% of the time. The marked a decline from 83.5% occupancy in 2024 and was significantly lower than Caesars’ 89.5% occupancy experienced in 2019.
However, Caesars continues to increase its average nightly rates, soaring from $140 in 2019 to $184 last year.
