“Rock Hard: Male Revue” to Open at Oyo

“Rock Hard: Male Revue,” a new male strip show, is set to open at Oyo casino on April 11, 2025. The show will run Friday and Saturday nights at 9:00 p.m.

It’s an interesting time for male revues in Las Vegas, as Chippendales is struggling after moving from Rio to Linq, but maybe it’s time for some new blood.

The twist, this show is directed and produced by a “Woman.” Yes, it’s capitalized in the news release and we are damned well not going to incur anyone’s wrath for writing in lower case.

Lots of male revue performers are gay, so don’t get your hopes up. Unless you’re gay, obviously.

“Rock Hard” is touted as “reflecting a female perspective.”

We are not the target demo of male revues, given the fact we have an estimated 490 X chromosomes, but we figured all male revues reflect a female perspective. We learn something new every day. If you need us to explain all of this further, we’re happy to do so, which is one of the benefits of having 490 X chromosomes, we can mansplain the hell out of just about anything except why certain people say they’re fine when they clearly aren’t. Oh, and why certain people can’t just say where they want to eat. Seriously, just decide. We could’ve already eaten by the time we figure out where certain people want to eat. And what is the big deal about seeing someone else at an event wearing the same outfit as certain people? It’s not a competition. Oh, and we can’t really explain why certain people have to pack 30 pairs of shoes for a three-day trip. And your keys are in your purse somewhere, certain people, this isn’t rocket science.

That’s right, we pretty much just mansplained why we can’t mansplain everything.

Anyway.

Abs and butts!

Just because A.I. can create an image doesn’t mean it should.

Here’s some stuff from the news release, emphasis on release: “Created and executive produced by Denise Kraft, ‘Rock Hard’ is currently the only known Las Vegas male revue built entirely from a Woman’s (sic) point of view. Kraft brings decades of experience in the adult entertainment, novelty, lingerie, and sexual wellness industries, having worked in marketing and public relations for some of the world’s largest studios, brands and distributors in those sectors.”

That capital “W” is going to haunt our dreams, but have a great time watching guys gyrate with their shirts off, Ladies (sic).

Kraft has previously co-produced other Las Vegas-based productions including “BurlesQ” and “Electric Candy,” which the news release describe as “female-forward” shows, but which is commonly referred to in the business as “T&A.”

Okewa Garrett is the show’s choreographer. Garrett’s performance credits include dancing with Beyonce, Trey Songz, Jennifer Lopez and others. He also performed in “Jubilee” and the aforementioned Chippendales.

Tickets are currently just $39.95 for “Rock Hard,” and as always, the show’s biggest challenge is going to be marketing. And the fact it’s at Oyo, all due respect.

Hey, every show has to start somewhere. We actually like Oyo, but we have to give them crap to meet our daily snark quotient.

Find out more at the official “Rock Hard: Male Revue” Web site, or possibly the “Rock Hard: The Male Revue” Web site. Or the “male revue” may not be part of the show’s name at all.

Let’s just say our dreams are haunted by a lot of things.
