Flamingo’s “New” Go Pool is Ready for Big Debut

Flamingo’s Go Pool has been given a $20 million overhaul and the wildly popular pool complex will make its debut just in time for the 2025 pool season.

The Go Pool covers 1.5 acres at Flamingo and features five temperature-controlled pools, a 30-seat swim-up bar, 33 VIP cabanas and more.

Out is the faded and gloomy cave waterfall, in is a sparkly new 50-foot-wide “rain curtain” waterfall.

We took this photo when we worked at Caesars Entertainment. Every job has its moments.

Yes, Caesars Entertainment provided a rendering of the renovated Go Pool at Flamingo, but we took that photo in 2011 during a media thing for the Miss USA pageant and had to share it. Sorry, not sorry. It was a very special day.

Here’s the layout of the new Go Pool.

The wings of flamingos in captivity are trimmed so they can’t fly. It’s called “pinioning.”

One of the best parts of Flamingo’s Go Pool is it’s 21-plus, something we didn’t know until we read the news release. Yes, we occasionally read. Rude.

Another best part? Cool-deck surfacing.

The worst part? DJs, of course.

A Flamingo rep says it’s a misnomer to call this a “renovation.”

Dan Walsh, SVP and General Manager of Flamingo Las Vegas, states, “This project is not a renovation; it’s a completely different pool complex that was constructed from the ground up. The team has worked tirelessly for months to develop a new Go Pool that honors the rich history of the Flamingo with a stylish and modern aesthetic inspired by the resort’s origins. We look forward to offering an elevated pool experience and exceptional VIP service to our guests.”

News release executive quotes gonna news release executive quote, but Walsh makes a good point. The Go Pool was stripped down to nothing, so this isn’t just lipstick on a pig.

Here’s a look at the Go Pool during its transformation.

The pool was a collaboration between Pacific Custom Pools and MO+A design studio.

No, these fake rocks weren’t donated to the Neon Museum. Weirdo.

Fun fact: Go Pool has 55 palm trees and 35 additional tree varieties that were transplanted from the original pool complex.

We trust Flamingo included this tidbit in their news release following the kerfuffle that resulted from MGM Resorts killing off the trees in front of Bellagio for F1. See? Our whining on Twitter is having a positive impact on Las Vegas, and that’s the story we’re sticking to. We love a good kerfuffle.

The news release didn’t say anything about gambling at the pool, but the outdoor craps tables were awesome.

Photo from 2011 or gratuitous A.I. image? This is a fun game!

The Go Pool renovation (we don’t like being told what to say or do) is one of several big capital investments by Caesars Entertainment recently. Caesars Palace has gotten a lot of love, and Flamingo has been in the news for three new venues opening: Pinky’s by Vanderpump (where the Flamingo’s poker room used to sit), Gordon Ramsay Burger (out front in the Bird Bar space) and Havana 1957 (across from the former buffet).

You can learn more about the revamped Go Pool at the official Web site.

We’ll see you at the Go Pool. If we can find our Ab Roller. If those are still a thing. Which we definitely use all the time.

Update (2/11/25): It appears there’s a reason Flamingo didn’t share photos of the rejuvenated Go Pool. There’s a lot more do to before it’s unveiled.
